Melanie finally made it to the castle she had been wanting to go to. But once she got there she was as tired as a horse running across the plains for days on end. She got in and was greeted by the maids and such, but she just nodded to them and went to her room. She was wanting to just relax and cry. Asami was tired and she was asleep in her arms. She was surprised that the little one finally calmed down. She was kind of off for a bit when they were on their way here. She couldn't get her to calm down, all she did was cry and cry. "I'm sorry Ami... But it's the only way I could think of and the way that worked so long ago. He needs to see what he wants in life and I need to make sure that I'm not being stupid." She was mostly talking herself, but it made her feel a bit better. The whole while tears were streaming down her face. She sat on the bed and looked around the room was earthy and it made her feel like she was truly home. She was planning on moving here with Satoru once they settled down and got married, but it seems that things have changed since that thought came to mind. She laid down on the bed and cried herself to sleep... Ami in her arms, sleeping like a baby.
About six years later her and Ami are living their lives like they are nothing but shadows. They don't go out much, eating in all the time, Ami only gets real time to herself when she's at school with her friends, but they don't even know her real name. She feels like she is nothing but a lie. She can't tell anyone and her mother doesn't trust a boy around her for one minute. Well Ami got suck of living like that so she was going to change it, she was going to get out and have some fun with friends and things. But there is always one thing in the back of her mind, and she dreams about it very often, a man. Tall, gorgeous eyes and he's running, like he's searching for something, but each time she gets close to him in her dream something comes and grabs her out of the earth or her mother gets in the picture and takes her away. She is wanting to find out what it is, but it seems like it's hopeless, like it's nothing but a dream and she doesn't really know if it's real. But each time she has the dream, it feels so real. She shook it off for now and put it in the back of her mind. Right now she was working on getting out of the castle and having a bit of fun with the powers her mother hasn't found out about. "Mama, some friends are going out tonight and I was invited, I'm going with them into town and then we are going to hang out at the park." She said, not really making it look like she wasn't going, but if she said no to the going out then she would get away with it anyways. "You know how I feel when you go out. There are people and things waiting for you to be alone. I'm not going to allow it unless a guard is with you or I." She said in a stern voice. I'm not about to lose her to her father... He's been searching hard.. and I have a feeling he's close.. She thought to herself. She still loved Satoru and wanted him to see his daughter badly, but were both of them ready for it. It's been six years now. "Hello, earth to mother." Asami said. "Oh, sorry, what did you say?" She asked. She was totally out of it right now. "I said that fine, I will be in my room for the rest of the night. I love you and goodnight." She said kissing her mother on the cheek and then heading down the hall to the stair case. Melanie held her hand where the kiss was, it was just like Satoru kissing her, but not as soft or sweet. Some tears streamed down her cheeks and then she went to her room. "Just don't be up to late, it is a school night." She called to her daughter.
Asami got upstairs and giggled. She was the only one in the house that could get past her mothers mind control or mind reading. She wasn't sure why, but right now she could care less, she was needing that to work as well as possible tonight. She went to the window and called to the plants, she was going to need a bit of help getting down. Once they came and she got to the ground safely she took off running. She had a backpack with a couple of things, but nothing special just her book and some paper. All she wanted to do was go to a meadow and read and maybe sketch. She got to the meadow within a couple of minutes. It was quiet and peaceful, the only weird thing was that her eyes were glowing and she was also, but she remembered it happened to her not to long ago, so she just rubbed it off and got to reading.

Ooc: Okay so I'm going to start because it's going to take me a bit to get it started.. we should have a sort of system too.. I think... it'll make it easier to know who needs to reply, less it'll be all over.. but whatever.
Bic: ~6 years since that fateful day~
Satoru slumped down the side of the nearest tree. He was completely out of breath and getting absolutely no where. He had circled the first castle a dozen of times and yet couldn't even see a wink of it. "It should be right here." He mumbled to himself as he pulled out and unfurled the map. Placing it on the ground and tracing the route he had taken over and over. Why isn't it here! This is the exact place Natsumi pointed out to me! Was she wrong? Or maybe she just didn't want to help me out in the first place. He steamed for a few moments before he finally folded up the map and placed it back in his bag. Leaning his head back onto the tree side he frowned. Looking up to the sky, it was beginning to darken out, it would be nightfall soon enough. He was already beginning to feel the effects of the darkness as his eye sight was beginning to get sharper and his senses were at the top of their game. He glared through the tree tops that surrounded him, he was tired of running around in circles. Hungry, and already running quite low on the viles Natsumi had given him. How in the world was he supposed to close off his mind to everything else if he was out of those bottles? He knew when his mind was wide open as he was able to feel the difference now, but still. It almost seemed quite difficult to achieve the matter without the potions or whatever filled the bottles that Natsumi handed him before he had left the house. Melanie was the only thing imprinted in his mind, every waking second of the day, she even haunted his dreams. The scene played and replayed time after time even if he was just dozing off. It's not as if he wanted to forget her, no that wasn't the case. he just almost wished for a bit of peace and quite. it was as if she was taunting him, flaunting her new life in front of his eyes while he suffered. not knowing the life her and their daughter were now living without ever seeing him once in the past six years. It was a constant pain that followed him where ever he went, even to the point that he avoided people as much as he could help. He received weird looks and little kids pointing at him making some remark before their parents dragged them off and told them not to look at him.
The scars he had received from a while back had yet to heal completely as he didn't have much to take care of them. Being a vampire he was bound to heal quickly, but these wounds were like nothing before, they had penetrated deeper than any wound, and hurt more than anything before. The worse matter was that they were created by some new creature to him at least... the one whom attacked him, or the many seemed to want him out. Odd to think he wouldn't have encountered the race before as the matter was he had been on this Earth for an incredibly long time by now, but even still he didn't know just everything about it. He wondered if they were part of Melanie's guard around here, but something told him they were out for more than protecting. He shook his head, shaking away everything else, he sighed and looked back down to his hands. He was a filthy mess, barely stopping for a snack or even a breather hear and there. He just couldn't understand the matter in which he had been searching for over six years and had only just found the first castle. His thoughts switched back to his baby girl, "She must be just as beautiful as her mother by now." He said softly, pushing past the willing tears that wished to fall over at any second. He thought he was done with those, those never ending tears that only seemed to make matters worse. He needed to be stronger, never turning his back on the enemy. If he was lounging around crying his eyes out it would only show weakness. Enemy characters never cared in the least on the matter in which you were hurting. Even if they themselves sliced you in half they would have no pity. That was all well and fine because Satoru wanted nothing to do with their sorrowful pity. He still found the matter of him becoming a bit softer in the watchful eye and loving touch of Melanie, he remembered back to the day they had met. He was so cold to her, not even willing to stay past the time he had been healed, but oddly enough something struck him about her and he stuck around. In the end he stayed for a lot longer than he had expected and they had really hit it off... even so how could everything go so wrong? He noticed his hands were now in fists as he thought about it all again.
Satoru growled loudly as he heard the sound of a breaking twig inches behind the tree he was sitting against. He rose to his feet, hand on his sword and lept onto one of the tree's branches. "Show yourself!" He growled his features already morphing into his vampiric ones as he grew angrier with each second. He knew he couldn't sit for even a second before something or someone decided to interrupt his tiny bit of peace and quiet, even though that was never the case. Every time he sat down for a second or even a moment, the silence was filled with memories and thoughts of Melanie and Ami.

He took aim at the man in the tree and fired his small bolt into the mans neck away from any major artery's. He sprinted over and watched the man fall from the tree quite asleep, "If you hadn't heard me this wouldn't have to happen. But now when you awake you will answer my questions." He picked the vampire up off the ground and brought him to a small clearing striping him of his clothes and weapons. When he was sure the man had no hidden arms he clothed the man and layed him down on the other side of a small fire and sitting down placing the mans weapons down beside himself. "Sleep well fool, for when you awaken you face a nightmare."

Gurgeh stood atop a towering redwood tree, looking over the distant landscape. The wind was strong up here, but it did not bother Gurgeh, he didn't even notice the wind tearing at his hair in clothes, making him look like he was in perpetual free fall. Gurgeh held his blades in one hand, leaning them over his shoulder as he surveyed the area. He was scanning the forest ground with, not his eyes, but his ears, listening for the tiny sounds that gave away human, or demon, presence.
Gurgeh bounced the blades up and down on his resilient shoulder in frustration, he was losing his focus. The wind in roaring in his ears became louder and louder, his ability to silence it over the subtle sounds of life was failing with his focus. d**nit, am I get alsemizers(sp?) or something, this never used to be this hard...
Gurgeh switched to his eyes, and watched as his partner stunned a vampire somewhere to the south. Kids... Gurgeh watched for a few seconds as the Drow disarmed the helpless vampire and then decided he might as well find out what he was doing it all for.
Gurgeh gave his foot a light twitch and then his footing slipped away and he was off, the wind picking up even more as he went into actual free fall. He fell gracefully and when he reached the lower part of the tree where the branches were stronger and more supple he kicked off of the end of one, launching himself back into the air. It took a few more maneuvers like this one until he reached his partner, landing in a kneeling position, soundlessly, a few feet from him. It was not wise to sneak up too close to another Drow unless you wanted to fight them.
He looked up and turned his head slowly to him "Who is it?" he said jerking his head at the unconscious vampire...

Ooc: Not sure on your plans Kris, but until Satoru is woken up, I'm virtually helpless. ^^
Bic: Satoru heard more movement but before he could move something hit his neck. An instant surge of drowsiness overtook him. His eyes flickered a bit before he fell from the branch. Thankfully it wasn't too far before he hit the ground with a large thump and lay motionless aside from the slow but steady rise and fall of his body. He was out for the count, only to wonder in his mind of consciousness what in the world happened to him. he was defenseless and well... very open for someone to attack or even kill him, and there wasn't a thing he could do about it.

Ami was reading when she heard a man. She looked up from her book and listened for a minute or two, but she didn't hear to much more after that. But she was now curious to know if it was the guy in her dreams. She put her book down and took off after the noise. She kept quiet and stayed low, if she got in trouble and then got home and her mother found out, she would kill her. She got down on her hands and knees to get a better, yet closer view. She saw some light and followed it, but she gasped out loud and as soon as she did she covered her mouth and prayed no one heard her. She saw the man in her dreams and she also saw two others, but she has a feeling that they weren't with him. I'm so dead if I don't leave now. NOW! GO! LEAVE, RUN, SOMETHING! Her mind kept telling her, but she inched closer to see if she could hear them talking.

He heard someone in the bushes but didn't make any inclination towards the sound. He looked at Gurgeh and used the silent language of the Drow, "We have a rat in the bushes, are you to apprehend it or am I?"

Gurgeh smiled and replied: "I will take it, it appears to be a child, weak then, let the old men have their fun"
Then he used a little bit of trickery and a the product of years of skills, to a Drow it would appear that he had stood up and left a crude aura of light behind him, but to any species of lesser sensory it would appear if he was still crouching there.
Gurgeh flew with silent speed and drew up no less than a foot behind the girl, drawing his blade with a silent motion and a smile. He leveled it at the young girls throat, bending his knees so that he was at her level and whispering in her hear as he pulled the blade very, very close to her throat.
"Children ought not to spy" he whispered in a hushed malevolent tone that secretly screamed murder...

She saw them and they were talking, but she couldn't understand them. Her mind was still yelling at her to leave, but by the time she was going to listen to her mind and go, it was to late. She had a sword to her throat and in big trouble. She wasn't sure what to say, she had never done anything like this and wasn't ready for it. Don't get her wrong, she could fight and was very skilled in magic and swordsmen but she was no where near her sword and her mind was running blank. "I.....I....I was... Just lea...leaving." she said staring at the sword that was at her neck, but then looking back at him. It hurt, but she wasn't bleeding, yet. She was scared, she wasn't even sure if she would make it out of this one alive now. I'm sorry mama. She thought to herself. She knew she should have listened to her mother.
Meanwhile, Melanie was just in her room reading. She still had no idea that Ami was gone. She was just thinking that she was proud of her for not fighting and staying in for the night and not getting into to much trouble. But she soon sensed Satoru and then he was out like a light. She found it odd, he was just fine a couple of minutes ago, why would he just disappear like that so suddenly. "Unless...? No... He couldn't be...." She put her book down and went to her daughters room, the window was open and she was no where to be seen. "Ami.... Why...Why go after him?" She asked herself in the room. She went to her room and grabbed her sword, the one she had not use in almost seven years now. "I hope you work this time.." She said and then she got some jeans and a shirt and running shoes. She went out and grabbed one of the horses from the stables, she wasn't going to run or fly, she was only going to find out if she was out here or not. If so then she would bring her home and then see what Satoru has put into her mind. "Why am I thinking these things.... He's not a bad person nor father. He is a great father and a even better husband." She stopped at the stall and tacked the horse up and then took off. Melanie opened her mind up and was searching the land for Ami or Satoru. She hoped to find them and that's what she did, she found Satoru and he seemed uneasy in his mind. Satoru! If you can hear me send your thoughts back... I've lost Ami, she took off... I think searching for you... Please, if you can contact me. Something is up on the land.. She said to him. She hoped that he would hear her and get back to her.

He walked over to the girl and knelt down eye level speaking her language perfectly, "Actually you shan't be going anywhere little one. Your staying right here." He quickly switched to the Drow tongue, "Do not kill her, we occasionally do need a messenger." He switched back to English, "Now then, you shall be tied and placed under that tree. If you resist even the slightest bit, your tongue shall be cut from your mouth and your forearms from your elbows then left to be raped or killed by the local wildlife. Is that clear?"

((OOC: Because of the different languages I'm going to format the speech differently, so for future reference English will be in nomral quotes. While Drow will be formatted as a "Subvocalization" In italics like thoughts but in quotation marks.))
Gurgeh looked at him, giving him a deadly stare "What are you planning on, this girl is nothing, why on earth to want to keep her alive?" He slackened the blade on her throat, if Gelthras had a plan he d**n well better tall his elder first.
Gurgeh switched to english "Besides, I don't carry anything to tie her up with, and I'm not doing your grunt work. Speaking of which tie that vampire up, I don't feel like fighting him if he wakes up..."

He kicked the girl in the stomach pushing hard knocking her out and sending a shock through to Gurgeh he slammed his dagger into the mans temple knocking him to the ground and stepped on his throat with his crossbow loaded and aimed at the man speaking in drow, "You seem to think your the one in control of this relationship old man. Your reactions times have dulled and you are not the fighter you once were. Whilst I am in the prime of my life, make no mistakes on who would die between our fight." He tossed him some rope, "Besides, I have the vampires weapons and now the girl is out cold. If you are still paranoid about him then YOU tie him up. I on the other hand, know that he is no threat. He's got enough sleeping drought in him to take down a rampaging Basilisk. So even when his mind and eyes awaken, his limbs will be so useless a newborn babe will have more strength than him."
He moved his foot from the mans throat and picked the girl up and used the small bits of extra rope he hadn't given Gurgeh to tie her hands and feet. He whispered to her in her sleep, "You will incur no more pain if you stay as obedient as you have. Just make sure to stay that obedient, and you'll soon be on your way."
He got up and went to the vampire sitting on the mans chest crossing his legs he slapped the man a few times till it seemed like he was coming too, "You will answer my questions and that is all or you will lose your throat and that little girls head will be sliced from her body, but only after a most torturous experience that you will be forced to watch. Is that understood?"

Ami was going to obey, but before she could say anything she was kicked and cringing and then knocked out. She felt herself getting picked up but then she heard his voice talking in her ear. She couldn't respond and she couldn't even call for help. Her mother was probably just finding out she was missing and freaking out like she always did. She couldn't contact her through her mind, her mother could never do that from some reason. So she was pretty much helpless, unless the man from her dreams wakes up and happens to save her.
Melanie got no response from Satoru, this made her worry. She wasn't sure if she could get through to Asami, it was always hard for her to get through her wall in her mind. "D*mnit Ami, why go after him...." She said. She pushed the horse harder and faster, but she soon stopped when she was getting different thoughts that she couldn't understand, they were in a different language. "This is odd... Where are they from." She wondered and stayed back so she didn't get caught up in anything if they were the ones that took Satoru.

((OOC: Aerbore your post is confusing, did you attack Gurgeh, or the vampire, and I thought you knocked Ami out.
Also I updated Gurgee's abilities, now includes a much more comprehensive combat abilities assessment, ought to make the coming fight easier on everyone.))
