Walk in the City of Gardens

Satoru's hold only tightened around Mel's waist, not to hurt her but to console her. He could feel not only her heart beathing faster, she seemed to be hyperventalating. Fear coursed through her blood, he could smell it as it made matters worse. He held close to her until she screamed, he closed his ears considering she was so close to his ear when she did. He lost her as she melted to the ground, it took everything he had to not freak out about this he had to stay cool and calm for her sake. If he lost it now she would only become more upset and he coulden't have that. He knelt to her side and held her in again not leaving her side for a minute, as he whispered small things to calm her and reassure her he was there and woulden't leave. He could feel the babies kicking her stomach over and over, the vibrations came too strong for anyone to handle, he felt them as if they were in his own stomach. He heard her nonesence murmurs and sobs, then he heard the single sentence that was about to set him off. they tested on her, doctors.. professionals sunk as low as they possibly could and tested on her, no wonder she was like this. He had to reassure her that he woulden't bring her through that again, but even after that he knew there had to be another way. If she went unseen she could die, they could all die.he shook his head, he had heard how vicious newborns could be and never worried about ever bgetting anoyone pregnant before because he never grew closee to anyone before. But now he was concerned for her life, but what was there to do? If he let it just go something horrible would happen.. but did he know of another cure for this? He shook his head clear of everything and held her closed kissing her head lightly and continuing with the whisperes to keep her calm.

When she spoke he nearly jumped but nodded as he looked down at her, "Yeah, as if they were in my own stomach. Baby we can't let this slide. I understand your concerned, I won't bvring you to a hospital, but we need to see someone. If this goes on longer they may kill you, and if not while delivering them you may all die. I can't risk that.. I just can't go on knowing your life is on the line, we've come so far, baby yoo've chancged me.. granteed slightly, but it's a huge improvement. I won't lose you to these babies, no matter what it takes I'd choose you over them. I don't want to sound cold or anything but if they survived over you they would mean nothing without you." He could feel red hot tears streaming down his cheeks, tears of anger.. of frustration and of sadness. Fear was taking him over but he was pushing it back over and over again. After a while he felt her fall asleep, he wished to stay by her side as she did, but she was sleeping so peacefully that he left her there and fled to a tree. High above to watch her sleep as he pondered where they could possibly go, he had used private hospitals to help him out when he had an issue, but most of the time nothing was incredibly serious that he really needed it. He had been tossed around too many times to count, his body was used to it, so much that a sword wound or what not only tickled, it healed almost instantly now a days. He shook his head as he rested bnack on the tree deep in though when he heard her desperate cries looking for him. He snapped out of it and jumped from the tree, landing only inches from her. "I'm here baby." He said scooping her up lightly, kissing her cheek.

Once he had his arms around her, she calmed down. She looked up at him, "I'm sorry.... I should've saw it coming... But--" She stopped herself, she didn't want to bring it back. She hugged him, and was grateful that he never left her. She lyed her head on his chest, still calming herself. "I don't want to die.... I already did once... And that was scary enough." She whispered. She still could feel them, and hoped she could fix this, and fast. Her face was clear, she wasn't crying anymore, but her eyes were slightly red from it. "I love you... So much." She said, putting her hand on his cheek. Maybe it was a bad thing to get pregnant, maybe I should've asked first. Now.... It's to late, I could be on my death bed, again. She shivered to that, she didn't want to leave Satoru, she loved him to much. She took in a deep breath, holding it for a couple of seconds, then letting it out. "I'll go... But if they dare to do anything... I'll kill them." She said, looking into his eyes. She wasn't doing this for herself, she was doing it for him. She knew that he would worry about her if she didn't, she had to suck it up, even though it had happened only a couple of years before she met Satoru. "I'm sorry, I don't like to worry you, I don't." She said softly. She didn't, it only made her feel guilty.

She got up and went to the pond that was close by, it was starting to get light out. They would soon have to go somewhere indoors. She stared at herself in the pond, she moved her dress up a bit on her leg. She traced the scars on them, every time she went over one, she would slightly wince from it. She hated them, they had no reasons to do it, she was a normal person, just had different things than humans. "I hate them..." She whispered. She looked up at the rising sun, "I vow to hunt them down and make them wish they never did it..." She said to herself, and slightly to Satoru. She wasn't going to back down from this, she was going to get them. They brought her pain, scars, and hatred. She looked back at Satoru, "We leave tonight..." She said in a flat tone. Her eyes went blank, they were filled with hatred. She walked over to him and hugged him, but once she got her arms around him, one of the babies kicked, but this time, hitting a rib, breaking it. She gasped and put her hand on her side, it was black and blue, going purple. "Ouch! D*mn!" She growled, it hurt her every time she took a breath in, she started to whimper. Now she wanted help, she wasn't going to walk around with this kind of pain.

Satoru smiled holding her close, "Baby it's alright I won't force you to go, i'm just concerned of your health." He kissed her forehead lightly as he held her. "You won't die, not while I'm around." he whispered, "I have healing powers I can help you out in any situation, but only if you allow me to." He smiled seeing as she was calmer now her hand on his cheek as she spoke, "I love you too baby, and I want to help you." Satoru smiled again a slightly bigger on as she agreed to go, "Not to worry about that, I have been to a hospital a bit from here. I have a few friends in a special departement, they have taken care of me when my wounds were fatal, they know what I am and they will always sbe there for me, and whomever else I may bring to them." He kissed her cheek, "You need to have faith in me this time. I will be at your side the entire time." He whispered his smile fading slightly. "I know, but you do, even if you don't try. I've never worried about anyone but myself before, but now I worry for one other." He smiled.

Satoru's eyes followed her as she slipped out of his arms and went to the pond, watching her every move as she moved her dress around. He had a vague idea of what she was doing but wasn't one hundred percent sure. He was tempted to join her but decided she would be back in her arms soon enough. "I will help you, but you need to understand they are humans, most humans are curious about everything, meaning nothing will hold them back from what they want." he cringed at the thought, they were filthy beings, but he, himself was once a human, but he would have never sunk that low. He nodded as she spoke up again, "Yes, we'll rest today and leave tonight." He responded as she returned to him and he brought her close until he heard a snap, worse than a tree branch and he looked to her. Feeling the slight kick, matters were worsening. "This is never good." he whispered as he watched her eyes showing the pain that the monsters just caused her. A part of him wished to rid of the creatures but he knew how Mel thought about them and woulden't cause her even more pain. "Is tonight going to be soon enough?" He whispered gently handling her now.

Mel had tears in her eyes, they were from the pain. It was painful for her to breathe or talk. She looked at her side, that was getting darker, then looked at Satoru. "I think... We need to go now." She said, taking shallow breaths. She laid her head on his chest, trying to keep herself calm. She already worried him enough, she hated to worry him, but the pain was bad. "I'm so sorry... Maybe... Maybe our only choice is to... Kill them..." She said, breathing hard, and slightly crying. She didn't want to lose them, but they were putting Satoru through pain as well, and she didn't like it. She put her hand to her stomach, but flinched when she touched the side where the ribs were broken. Finally the babies stopped and fell asleep, or so she thought. She closed her eyes, seeing them as they grow, but also seeing them killing people because they were newborns. She looked up at Satoru and put her hand in his, letting him know that she was ready to see the doctors he trusted.

She was at the building, just staring. It looked close to the one she was in when she had all the testing done to her. She pushed those images away and told herself to trust him. "You're sure they won't hurt me?" She whispered, looking at him. She was nervous, but didn't so it to much, though she knew he would smell it. The babies kicked again, almost bringing her to her knees, they hit her bad side again. She gulped and started to walk in. When she got there, it was white inside, but it smelled funny. She felt more relaxed than the last place, it seemed ok to her, but she was still uneasy. She stayed really close to Satoru, this was his plan, he was going to do all of the talking. She just kept looking around, watching everyone that walked by her and looked at her with sadness. She tilted her head as one stopped and looked at her, he looked really sad, then he backed off and went on his way with things. "Why are they looking at me?" She whispered in Satoru's ear. She didn't like it, but held back a growl at any of them. They were here to help her, not hurt her, at least that's what she was told. They got the waiting room and went up to the girl behind the counter. She had a soft smile on her face and then looked over Mel. She knew what was going on, since she worked with these kind of things. "What did you do this time?" She asked Satoru, knowing he would only come in here if it was urgent. She had a slight grin on her face, she hoped he knew that she was only teasing. She could see the worry in the girls face, and she peeked over the counter, looking at her stomach. "You should've known better... She could..." She stopped herself, she wasn't about to scare the girl. Mel already knew what she was going to say, she had said it many times to herself. Mel started to growl, but stopped herself, it wasn't the ladies fault. She hid her face in Satoru's arm.

Satoru nodded as he watched Mel react to the pain, "I agree. It would be bet to find out what needs to be done sooner." He said shaking his head soon after, "That may be, but i won't back down without a fight. newborns can be very dangerous, but I do think if we don't get them out they will destroy you first only to try and escape themselves." He hugged her lightly again, "Calm yourself I'll be next to you the whole time." He said knowing that may not be true if they had to use sugery means, that would be too much for him. He nodded nonetheless and stood, he cradled her in his arms and held her close. Starting out towards the hospital, he was speaking calming words to console and calm her. He wished there was an easier way to do this, but maybe she was right, maybe they would be too dangerous to keep. One was bad enough but three, it's stretching it, and tearing her apart.. it can't go on any longer.

Satoru stood at the edge of the forest looking onto the hospital before he walked in and set Mel on her feet gingerly. he noticed how she hung to his arm and he smiled, "Don't worry baby, they won't hurt you." He whispered he could smell her fear and felt horrible but he had to do something more. Satoru looked at her then around the waiting room, "Their curious, they have only seen me here a few dowzen times, but never with a lady friend." He said smiling at the others, "Stay calm, nothing will go wrong, they won't hurt you here, members of this hospital aim to please. They know me and know what I am like, everyone here has a secret to hide, not many humans know of this place." He looked up as they reached the reception desk to see the lady behind it, he knew her well. Satoru smirked, "Are you saying i'm a bad by, Emily?" He laughed, "Long story actually but..." He paused as she had looked around the desk to see Mel's stomach as it was a balloon now. He shook his head, "I had no intentions of harming her, and I assure you that if anyone does aside from what needs to be done there will be h*ll to pay." he said it in a sort of serious but light tone. He knew she knew what he was speaking of, he only had to release his true colors once, and it wasn't even really a serious matter, one shot too many. It wasn't the nurses fault though, she was misinformed and Satoru appologized for scaring her to death, even though she was really already sorta..dead. He grinned at the memory then looked back at Emily, "So tell me, when can we see the doctor?" he asked her growing serious again as he felt Mel tighten her grip on his arm.

Emily looked at the computer and typed a couple of things in. "Lets see... He'll be free in the next ten minutes." She said, looking up at him. "I'll give you that one, knowing this is a serious matter." She said, going back to typing. Mel looked at her side, it was hurting, throbbing in pain. She was trying to be good, standing here and wait, but the blood running through Emily's veins were driving her mad. "Can... Can I go outside to get some air?" She whispered to Satoru. She needed to get out of this, it was going to drive her crazy! But then she remembered something, it hurt to move. "Never mind..." She whispered, she didn't want to cause anymore pain to herself. She stayed with him, keeping her mind busy on other things, her eyes were going red again. She was thirsty, she wanted something, but she wasn't sure why, she ate earlier that day. The babies... They are growing faster than normal. She sighed.

~ ten minutes later ~

The voice in the speaker was calling Satoru and Mel's name. She shivered, she was so nervous. She got up and followed Satoru. "You promise they won't hurt me? I don't want to go through what I did last time." She said, looking up at him. She was shaking slightly and had a hand on her stomach, making sure she was moving ok and that it didn't hurt so much to walk. They got to the room and the door shut behind them with a click, she saw the two chairs and a bed she could lay on. She did, even though she didn't want to, but she wasn't going to fight with Satoru, not when he was trying to help her. "I love you." She whispered to him, slowly getting up on the bed, but gasping as she did, it hurt. The pain was scary, they kicked again. "Ow...." She whispered. She closed her eyes, waiting for the doctor to get here and check her out. She was relaxed, it felt good to lay down. She soon found herself sleeping, she was surprised. She was dreaming, dreaming of the babies. No, not a dream, a nightmare. They were killing everyone they ran into. She was calling to them, trying to stop them, but couldn't. She woke up and started to remember where she was, it was white, with no windows. She took in a easy deep breath. "We can't keep them... There's no way we can, they'll kill everything they see or smell." She thought to herself. She closed her eyes and then looked at Satoru, "I... I think I've made a decsion.." She started out, "I'm going to have them... Them..." She closed her eyes, they were starting to get teary,"Have them kill them." She said, opening them slowly and looking at him. She knew they couldn't keep them, it was going to be to much.

Satoru nodded as Emily did everything for them and he signed a few papers. he was surprised at how quiet Mel was being, he was growing concerned again. "I thank you Emily, this is a rough matter and we want it done right." he said in a hushed voice not to cause any commotion or more attention towards them. He nodded as she chose the doctor he prefered as Mel asked to go back outside. "Sure." He said looking down at her but smiling. He saw the pain in her face and felt bad there wasn't anything else he could do for the time being. After they had finished he went to sit down with Mel.

~Ten minutes later~

Satoru looked up as the speaker announced them, he stood up and was tempted to pick Mel up to help her. In the end they made their way to the room, she looked like she was in even more pain than before but Satoru stayed quiet. He nodded, "Baby trust me. No one will hurt you, they are only going to help you." He kissed her forhead lightly, he pushed open the door and allowed her to walk in as he closed it behind them. He watched as she took it all in and made her way to the bed. He smiled, "I love you too." He said following her to the bed, jumping slightly as she cringed in pain as the babies kicked her again. Watching as she started to fall asleep, he looked around wondering if she would let him leave while they were doing the procedure, he haden't mentioned the fact to her yet. he knew she would flip out, but he had to. he knew she woulden't wwant to see him being restrained, she would be out cold anyways. He came back as she stirred, we can't keep them.. no.. we can't. "I'm glad you have come to the conclusion. I should have warned you before you thought to do this to yourself. Though I never knew it would be so harmful to you either."

He broke off as the door clicked open and closed as the doctor walked in, Satoru looked over his shoulder and smiled. "Doctor Turner." The man looked up and smiled back, "Satoru my boy, how've you been? Emily tells me you've been naughty again. What brings you to my domain now?" He asked noticing Mel on the bed, "Ahh, I see.. " Satoru moved aside as he made his way to the bed, "You see, well it's a long story.." Turner held up his hand, "Satoru, I can tell the whole deal." Satoru nodded, "I had forgotten." Turner motioned for a chair as he rolled over his. "Sit down Satoru, we must speak of our options before anything is set in stone. Dear girl I have yet to catch your name, but your good looks tell me all I need. What shall I adress you by?" he asked politely as he reached for her hand to shake it. Satoru sighed lightly as he pulled up a chair next to Mel's head and sat down. He waited as the two started to talk, she was the one with the pain and problems so he stayed quiet. Though he did motion to her to speak, only she would be able to explain everything to him. Turner awaited on her name, "Well, I need to know everything that's going on, I will have to do a quick ultra sound to see how big they have gotten before we can go any further." All the equipment was ready in the room but he was keeping it on a slow pace so not to scare her, he knew Satoru well and wasn't about to p*ss him off. He was scary, even though they were closely related, so to speak.

Mel's sat up slowly, she knew how this was going to go. She was going to have surgery done, no matter what she said. She tried to smile, but she found it hard, she was so nervous. When he came in, she nodded. Then he asked for her name, "I'm Melanie." She said softly, keeping it low, she knew he would hear her. She had a feeling he was also a vampire. She looked at Satoru when he came up and sat down, she moved her hand down to intertwine with his. She took a breath and then let it out slowly, knowing she was going to have to speak up. "I... I don't know where to begin." She said, still whispering. "It was fine, for a couple of hours, then they started to move, kicking slightly." She said, her eyes going blank. She looked down, she was still in pain, trying to keep it in, but knew it was pointless. She took a deep breath, but closed her eyes in pain. "I have at least three, maybe four broken rib bones. It hurts to move, breathe, pretty much anything." She said, looking at Doctor Turner. She was surprised on how she was doing. "How long will it take... To take care of them?" She asked, she didn't want to say it, it hurt her to much to say it. She was going to have to get over it quickly, if not, then it was only going to make it harder for her. "And you probably know that we aren't going to keep any of them..." She trailed off, looking down, trying to fight back the tears. The babies moved, it killed her. She didn't want that, but could see the dream she had, them killing everything in there path. Then they kicked, "Ouch..." She said, laying back down, seeing if it would make a difference. It slightly did, "Lets get this over and done with." She said, closing her eyes and waiting for something to happen. As she closed her eyes, knowing the doctor was looking at her, she started to think of how this reminded her of the time she was about to get her head blown off. It was scary, knowing she wasn't going to be able to have kids. Then she had a question, no not a question, a statement, "I won't be able to ever have children, will I." She said, looking at Doctor Turner, then Satoru, it killed her. She wanted to have kids, it was one of the things she was missing now. But now, it was always going to be missing, that gap would never be filled, ever. She closed her eyes, tears running down her cheeks. She hated to cry in front of the doctor, but she couldn't hold it in any longer, the walls collapsed. She was laying there, sobbing. She knew Satoru would be there for her, the whole way, but she would still feel like a part was missing in their lives.

Satoru was there the whole while clasping his hand around hers as it found it's way to his. Dr. Turner nodded, "I had a feeling it was you. Miss Nature.. you are more beautiful in person than anything else." She smiled and listened to her story, or what she could tell him, he had figured the rest himself. He watched her movements then nodded, when she finished she was in tears, sobbing actually. He sat back as Satoru was consoling her, "Baby calm down your alright, everything will work out in the end." He whispered little things here and there as he calmed her down. In order for anything to go well he would have to keep her calm and able to be worked on. Turner continued to calculate everything in his mind, it seemed to all piece together now, he would tell them of his plan and then start the ultra sound. From there they would begin. "Miss Nature.. I shall speak tof the procedure less you wish to just rid of it. I assure you that you willbe out for the entire process, which the time will not be long. I suggest a few hours, three at best." he looked to Satoru, "I assure you we will take the best care of here here as you know. I wish not to face your wrath. But i do ask you to contain yourself, unlike me I know you are unable to always contain yourself around so much of the blood."

Satoru nodded and looked away from Mel, that was sort of giving away his whole plan of not telling her, but he had plans to do for the while, big plans. But thought of nothing as he knew she was able to read his mind. He nodded slowly as he looked back at Mel, "Baby, you must understand.. if I stay here nothing will go as planned. I can't gaurentee your safety through some of it. I have a few quick errands to run but I assure you I will return before everything is over and will be at your side when you awake." He brought her hand to his mouth and kissed the back of it. "No one will hurt you here, the procedure will be quick and painless." he whipered looking back to Turner who was nodding in agreement. "The quicker we start the quicker it will all be over." He whispered in a hushed voice with a smalll smile. He stood up at that moment and started to get the ultrasound ready, placing on his gloves and closing the shades. He got out the gel and stood next to her side, "Though we do have to get you changed first of all.. that could be a problem." It would be tough to change her into the hospital dress, but he had help. He went into a closet and pulled one out.

Mel was calming down, then she heard that Satoru wasn't going to be there. "But... I thought..." She couldn't get the words out, she closed her eyes and laid there, trying to keep calm. She nodded when he told her that he would be back before she woke up. "I love you..." She whispered in his ear. She looked at Dr. Turner, "I can do that part... I have some tricks up my sleeves." She said, slightly smiling. It was the first smile she had since she was there. But before he could say anything, she was already changed, "Done..." She said, laying down. She looked at Dr. Turner, waiting for him to continue. She was trying to keep herself calm, she was still nervous, but was starting to trust him now. "I don't want to know how many girls or boys... It'll only make it harder on me, if you don't mind." She said in a low voice, but her voice was her sweet one, like singing. She looked up at him, "And you can call me Mel or Melanie or Miss Melanie..." She said, she didn't like the Miss Nature thing, it felt funny to have someone, besides Satoru, know who she really was. Then she thought about something, she was going to have needles... She frowned. Her eyes grew to there black state, this wasn't going to go well. "I'm not fond of needles, I'm not sure Satoru told you about that." She said, looking at him with her eyes, they were pitch black. She shook her head, "I'm sorry... I don't know why they keep changing color." She said, looking at the wall, she felt ashamed. They went back to their gray green color, soft, and sorry for acting like this. "I should hold myself up higher... With me being Lady Melanie, or Mother Nature." She said, looking back at Dr. Turner. She was surprised on how comfortable she felt with him, it was unusual for her. She took a shallow breath, though it hurt from the ribs. Her whole right side purple.

Satoru smiled at her, she was behaving like an anegl would. Perfect, yet a bit rebelious, but it was given in a state like this. "I'll stay until after they put you out. I love you too much to leave you before then." Dr. Turner smiled, "You two have a facinating(sp?) bond between you." He looked down to his hand only to find the dress was gone, he looked over to Mel and was shocked, "You know you are incredible, I won't ask how you did that." He smiled as she was laying back again, he nodded, "That's fine, then I shall pass by that step. Do you want to know the procedure or shall we start?" He asked hearing her sweet singsong voice that he had only heard about but never heard in real life before. He found himslef smiling, carefree and nodding to her next bit of info. "My appologies Miss Melanie, I didn't mean to offend you."

He bowed slightly then looked up as she mentioned her fear of needles. He smiled slightly, "You and everyone else that hates pain, I will tell you this much. The needle is nothing when we have knocked you out already, we can take an extra step to reassure you that you feel nothing." He nodded at Satoru, "He had told me ahead of time, do trust me when I say I know a lot about him." He winked at her, a harmless one. "Your eyes are nothing but beautiful, I can assure you when this i done that will not happen again for a while at least. My figurings are that your body is trying to adjust to the.. well yes.. and once they are gone that will return to normal. I cannot be for certain, but I am pretty sure that is athe case. No fear in having to withhold your status in here, we know that everyone feels pain once in a while. Let it out, if we don't knnow where it hurts we can't help very accurately." He smiled, "Do take it easy though, we don't want you overdoing it any time soon. That would make matters worse. We will take more than excelent care of you, Satoru will see to that." He laughed, "No, I am one of the only vampires around here that can tend to the sick without having to hold back anything. I have my powers well under control and I have been around for longer than most." He smiled at her.

Melanie looked at Satoru and touched his cheek then smiled. "Thank you." She said, kissing him lightly on the lips. She looked at Dr. Turner, "I would like to just skip it.. I don't want to know." She said, carrying herself higher, still she had her singson voice. She tilted her head at him, she was listening to his mind, and doing other things. She grinned, "I know who you are, where you were born, who your parents are and when you where turned." She said, slightly smiling. "I want it over and down with." She said flatly. She looked at Satoru, feeling better now that she knew the man that was working on her, she remembered the things he went through to get this far. She felt safe in his care, like he was really going to keep safe while she was in her pain. "I still hate needles... I will kill anyone that dares to hurt me with them... I swear on it." She said in a dark voice. Then she screamed, one of the babies kicked her, breaking another bone. You could hear the break, loud and clear. She was crying, it hurt, she couldn't hold it in anymore. "Make it stop...please....?!" She begged, she wanted the pain to go away, she wanted to die. It hurt so bad, "Satoru... Please.... Make it stop." She wasn't breathing right, she felt like she was going to fade, the pain was so much on her now.

Satoru nodded and watched as she read Turner's mind. He sighed as he sat back slightly, Turner looked her over in interest. "Interesting, your every bit wonderful as they say you are. I Will make it quick and painless." He said just as the echo of her broken bone peirced the air, he looked to Satoru and nodded. Satoru nodded back and held her down kissing her lips lightly and pulling back trying to distract her as Turner injected the knock out into her veins. "Satoru, easy.. you don't want to get any closer." Satoru nodded but stayed close to interfer with her looking down to what Turner was doing. He had to protect him for now. "Easy Mel, you can do this." He waited counting down from twenty and watched her fade from the injection. he would have h*ll to pay when she came to but that was of his least concern. Just then the door open and Turner's two trusted assistants came in. Satoru looked up and nodded to the two as he allowed Mel's hand to slip from his. "Turner, I swear if yo.." Turner placed a hand up, "Satoru, go.. I have this under control." Satoru looked him over but then nodded, "Fine, I'll be back." He said fleeing out of the room and heading to the front door.

Turner was already setting out his tools, while one of his assitants was setting Mel on an IV. His other was helping him ready the operation site, "Sir ready when you are." He said as the baby kicked again, "Hurry." Turner nodded, once the second one was done. "Be ready, this may be one of the worst. Look out for the girl, she needs to be safe asap." He said in a hushed tones as they lifted their masks. He started and they grabbed the first one, the male took a hold of it and cut it from the placenta, then left the room to finish the job while another was ready to take his place. The second was monitering her heart rate, it was varying, she was fading quick. Turner had the second baby out in a flash and handed it to the new assistant as he hurried out to follow the first.

He looked to his other assistant. "She's badly wounded but she's still alive." She nodded, "They will be happy to know that. She's normal though correct?" Turner nodded as he pulled the last out with the placenta, he handed her to his assistant as she cut her from the placenta and hurried off to clean her up. Turner waited mear seconds as his first assitant returned nodding to him. "Good, no problems then?" He shook his head, though he coulden't hide the large bruise on his arm. Turner sighed but pushed past it. "I need to heal these wounds. I need you to hold things into place." the assitant nodded. "Tell me where." Turner nodded as he sewed the walls that he could and started with her ribs. "She will be sore but everything will be better than it was before they were broken." His assistant nodded as he moved around fixing her bones one by one.

Mel saw and heard them with her mind what they were going to do. "NO....NO!!!" She said, struggling but as she did, it just made her pain worse, she was crying, it never stopping. "Please!!!!!!!" She begged, then she felt it, the needle was in, her eyes going bright red. She was remembering the people that did evil things to her, she wanted to kill them. She was ready to lunge at Turner, she wanted to, but Satoru was holding her down. She was still struggling, she didn't want that, she was going to kill Satoru for it, he promised to her, he said that they wouldn't do it. She was growling and snarling, but soon she was seeing darkness. She glared at Satoru, "I hate....you..." She said, she was mad, he told her he wouldn't let it happen, he told her she would be safe, now look, "You...You pro....Promis...." She was out, sleep took over her.

Mel felt numb, but it felt so good. She was in a dream like state. She was dreaming of Satoru and her family, holding the little ones. But it soon changed, she wouldn't have any of them, she wasn't going to keep them. She wished she said she wanted to keep them, but somehow knew it was to late. On the inside, she was crying her heart out, she wanted to change her mind, but if you looked at her eyes on the outside, they had tears running down her cheeks. She wanted Satoru to hold her, tell her it was going to be ok, but she was in the dark, alone. She didn't like it, it was like when she almost died, but she couldn't wake up, the drug was good, she was stuck like this for awhile. She wanted to wake up now, she wanted to try and stop them, but couldn't, no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't. Why... Why did I have to give up on them?? She kept repeating the same thing over and over in her head, in the darkness. But soon, she was seeing a tunnel of light. She wasn't sure what it was, but followed it.

Satoru walked the streets looking for the place he he needed, the words that Mel spoke burning deep in his mind. He shook his head but the last bit was stuck in his head. I hate you He frowned, he never though he would hear that from her, he never wanted to. he only hoped the outcome they had planned would make her forgive him, he could see he would have to hold of the proposal until everything was settled again. he sighed as he looked up, he haden't wanted to do that to her, but the babies were killing her, if they lulled her to sleep they would have never had enough time. They had to act quickly, he nodded as he came to a jewlery store that looked promising. He walked in and was greeted by an older woman with a wide smile. "Good morning sir, how can I help you?" Morning? Satoru thought for a bit he had been to caught up with his thoughts to notice that morning had come. He smiled and nodded, "Yes, I'm looking for a proposal ring for my girlfriend." The woman smiled, "Ah, she's one lucky girl to have a considerate guy like yourself." She said leading him to a display, Satoru felt worse, yeah.. considerate. Ha.. he thought as he stopped at the display as the woman was getting her keys out to show him the rings. They were all beautiful, but one in particular stood out. It was a emerald in color, the color of the greenest tree. He grinned, "Can I see that one?" he asked pointing to it, it had a silver band, the larger gem was green having a smaller diamond on on either side. It was perfect. The woman smiled, "Wonderful choice, our newest addition to this collection. You have good taste sir." She said with a bright smile as she handed it to him. He took it and looked it over, it was flawless, "It's perfect." He said handing it back to her to box up, "I'll take it." He said with a smile as the woman boxed it up and he paied. "Thank you very much and I wish you two the best of luck." Satoru smiled and thanked her before walking out and heading towatrds the hospital. He looked at his watch, he hoped to make it and not to break another promise.

~Meanwhile~

A few hours had passed and Turner and his assitant were wrapping things up. He had fixed every broken bone, and mended the walls that were ripped. Unfortunately the bruises would remain on her sides and such untill the healed on their own. He was a doctor and a great healer but he was useless to heal the bruises that would heal faster considering she was a vampire anyways. He stood back as his assistant held together the rest of the site and awaited Turner to stich up the main inscision. He did so and sighed looking up to Mel's face. he did hope Satoru would return before she woke up,regardless of her wounds he knew he would be in danger if she had the chance to attack her. "Go check on how the surviver is." He whispered to him before wiping it from his mind. Satoru had warned him of that matter and he wasn't about to ruin the final plan. For now he would wait until Satoru returneds and Mel woke up. Fortunately ten minutes later Satoru knocked on the door and pushed it open, everything was cleaned up and Turner was sitting on a chair next to the bed. "Satoru, wonderful timing, she should be coming to very shortly." He looked over to the screen monitering her progress, "Everything was perfect, I mended all of her bones but the bruises.." Satoru nodded, "I know, will have to heal on their own." He pulled up a chair next to Mel's head and laced his hand in hers, "Keep everything going, we need to make sure everything went well." Turner nodded, "And she's placed in bed arrest for the next few days, if she moves just an inch wrong everything will reopen, she may be vampire but that won't help her bones. All in all she was one tough cookie, you sure know how to choose them." Satoru laughed, "Life's no fun without a bit of adventure." He smiled and Turner nodded, "I'll stay but when she comes to you need to make sure she stays put." Satoru nodded, "I half expect her to pounce me when she wakes up, though I hope she doesn't I don't dare leave her anymore she'd kill me."
