The air was humid from the fine summer rainl, and the sand was brown from the moisture and collected in thick clumps. Dark, Cumulus clouds hung over the vast desert, not posing any threat to the wildlife living in the area. Every once in a while, lightning would leap across the sky from cloud to cloud. No human dared to stand in the open field;afraid that they will be stuck by lightning for being the tallest thing out there on the Midas Desert.
Suddenly, a ball of lightning fell from the sky. It incresed in great speed, landing in a sand dune with a BOOM! Feathers scattered eveywhere across the desert, and legs stuck out from the dune. A human? But how could a human survive from such a great fall?

( This is the tune he's playing on the flute. Ignore the out of place sound at the begining) Even though most humans didn't want to get anywhere A teen walked through the desert in the storm, playing his flute. The melody seemed to trancend one instrument, as if a whole orchestra was playing with him. As he walked, the rain seemed to avoid him, the path splitting enough for him to walk through undrenched. Not once did a bolt of lightning touch him either. He let his lips form a smile as he played, loving the song. Suddenly, the impact resounded, the music instantly. Sparken's concentration had been disrupted by it and the magic from the song vanished, soon becoming drenched. Thankfully, lightning didn't strike him but that could quickly change yet. What was that all about? he thought to himself, noticing the area of the sands with the two legs sticking out and asked himself, Is that guy alright? Quickly, he ran over to the dune, wondering if the person was alright.

Maxwell was out cold, he moved around in panic within the dune, digging himself out as quickly as possible. He rised from the sand dune like a childish monster, and sneezed and coughed in wheezes. "What the hell?" he muttered rubbing the back of his head. He grimaced from the pain of the inpact that was now kicking in. He slumped down, and then realized...he was nude. "MY GOD! Where's my clothes?" he asked covering himself up with his wings, and then he noticed: he had wings. His eyes widened in confusion and fear. "Who am I? What am I?Why am I here? Who sent me?" Maxwell started to feel his feathers, and couldn't believe they were his. Maxwell looked up and noticed a drenched boy who was worried about his well being. "Yo." he said quietly in embarassment.

The boy just looked away until his wings covered him up, giving him privacy. When he greeted him, Sparken turned back and smiled. "Hey. You should get out of the rain." He then began playing the tune from earlier, clearing the area around them of rainfall. This would at least keep them from being drenched. As he played, he looked around, trying to see if there was a place to hide from the rain in the desert.

Maxwell stood up slowly, his wings still covering himself. "Nice voodoo you got going here." He looked up towards the sky, it was still raining, yet it didn't touch them at all. "I have no clue where, but there is a city nearby. Right now though, I need at least a pair of pants." Maxwell gave a Sparkmen a dead serious look. "I'm..." he trailed off, he couldn't remember his name. Maxwell looked down at something poking out of the ground, he reached down and pulled the items out. They turned out to be a bow and a quiver of arrows.
Deep in the wooden bow was a name engraved in the frame. It read: Maxwell Alexander Drew. "I'm Maxwell, Maxwell Drew." he said finally looking back at Sparkmen as if asking if this name would be okay to use. "What's yours?"

The boy paused, seeming to have been tired out by the song. The rain came back and he said, "Sparken Rubato." He wiped a bit of sweat from his forehead, although it was impossible for the boy to tell since it was raining so hard. I must be getting tired. The song's magic is starting to tire me out again. He did his best to hide his fatigue and asked, "Which direction is the city?" He took the time to catch his breath and get back some of his energy. He might have enough... He was really only planning on playing it until he found shelter but if it was to help someone, then he didn't mind.

Maxwell sighed, "I have no clue." With that, he began to walk east, "I have a feeling that a city is nearby here." Maxwell continued to cover himself with his wings, his cheeks flushed with embarassment. He heard the noise of a camel not so far away. He motioned for Sparkmen to follow. "YO!" shouted Maxwell, a man with a stout figure and build came riding over on his camel. He looked down at Maxwell with confusion, the guy was nude and yet had wings draped about him. "Hey, can you lead us to a city nearby? And also, do you have anything for me to wear? Me and bud over there are in a tight struggle right now." The man spoke arabian, and Maxwell slightly nodded. He responded in broken arabian and gladly recieved a pair of clothes. "Thanks," he said as he gladly changed behind a rock. After he came out dressed, he called over to Sparken, "Hey dude, Mr.Mustaugh is going to lead us to a city in this spit desert."

The boy smiled when he came out and explained, happy. So they'd be able to get real shelter besides from his skills, which wouldn't last too much longer at this rate. His energy was really low. He nodded and went over to him, asking, "May I come with you? I don't exactly have anywhere I need to be and I'd like to get out of the storm too." He didn't reveal the fact the song's power had tired him out, mainly because he didn't want them to worry.

"Sure dude, fine with me." Maxwell said with a shrug, Mr. Mustaugh led them to the city, the sun was setting but people were still out and about. The dusty streets were crowded with people of all ethnic groups. Alot of unsure looks were focused on Maxwell, he shrunk down a little from all of this attention. He didn't know himself, he wasn't sure where he truly was, and now everyone around him was giving him the 'stink eye'. He sighed and looked back at Sparkmen, then he looked back at Mr.Mustaugh. "Hey, is there an inn near...by?" Maxwell looked around nervously, the man was gone. He looked back at Sparkmen confusedly, "Where'd he go?"

(Sparken... Not Sparkmen)
The boy just tilted his head, shrugging. He hadn't kept track of the man so he wasn't sure himself. "I dunno. Sorry." He looked for someone that could speak english, moving over to the croud and asking around. He carefully chose the people he poke too, careful not to talk to others doing something important or talking to someone else. Until he got an answer in english, which wouldn't take that long, hopefully, he'd ask, "Do you know where there's an inn?"

Maxwell spoke in his broken arabic, but quickly stopped. "Yo Sparken~!" Maxwell called over, he pointed towards a tall modern building that had big american letters that read 'INN'. Maxwell chuckled, "Duh," Maxwell placed his hands in his pockets, and noticed that there was mighty large wad of cash in his pocket. His eyes quickly widened and he looked over to Sparken with a dumb grin on his face. "Let's hurry on over to the inn, mmk?" he said cooly as he began to walk with his money firm in his hand as it rested in his pocket. Maxwell, for some odd reason, knew of pickpockets and theives. Knowing this, he shrouded his mighty wings about his hands in his pockets.

The boy just looked up, noticing the sign, and nervously chuckled. "Heh, guess I wasn't looking." He followed him in, putting a hand in his pocket as well. He slowly checked the money he had with him, just to be sure he had some to pay for them. Not much but it might be enough. he thought, putting the iPod on standby mode. If there was a possibility of a pickpocket, he wanted to be ready.

Maxwell made his way over to the building, until suddenly someone brushed against him. The stranger fidgeted as if shocks of electricty was going through him. Wait. That is what exactly happened. Maxwell was too shocked to understand. He immediately knelted down, "Are you alright? Are you alright?" he asked shaking the wounded man. Foam was coming from his mouth. A crowd had formed around the twosome. "Someone help him!" Maxwell cried out in broken arabic. He couldn't find the word for 'help' and 'hospital'. The crowd only stared at Maxwell, women held their children close to them. Crap. What have I done? He quickly turned the man over on his side. "...Sp-sparken?" Maxwell called out nervously, "know CPR?" He gave a nervous grin.

( This is the second song) Sparken instantly became alert as the man fell to the ground, moving back. What had just happened? The man was perfectly fine a moment ago but now he was on the ground, as if electricuted. As the boy asked, he shook his head, saying, "If you do, try it. I'll help my own way." He put his flute to his lips and immediately ran through his mind for all the tunes he knew. Mainly ones from Klonoa but one came to mind. He wasn't entirely sure if he could use it but right now, he didn't have a choice. So he began playing the tune, pouring his energy into it. The melody, 'Mine of Lights', was a calming one and he willed the magic in the tune to heal the man. Maybe the calming notes, combined with the spell, would help keep the man's brain calm. Even if that didn't work, it was a healing song. He made sure to put in all the energy he dared risk to use. He wouldn't try CPR himself since he was scared that the foaming would make it impossible for him to blow air in without including liquid from the foam as well. Please work, he prayed, Heal him.

Maxwell eventually summed it up that this all happened because the man brushed against him. He looked down at his hands, noticing that they were a pale yellow. He didn't feel sick, but he felt extremely hyper for some odd reason. Maxwell had no clue on how to use CPR, until a nurse came running over. The spell immediately kicked in from the flute and the man was slowly healing, thanks to Sparken and the help of the nurse. During the action, Maxwell stood up and left for the inn. None dared to go near him, and he was grateful for that aswell. I'm filled with electricity? Just one touch...almost killed a guy? Am I that dangerous?
