BZZZZZTTAAT! Out went the lights after volts of electricity went right through Maxwell's body and into the outlet. He cursed over and over to himself as he slowly stood up. The feeling of electric currents going through his body was nothing but heaven to him, but making the lights go out in a person's house that he threatened to stay in was of a different matter. In the dark, Maxwell felt for the switch, and sent the pulse of electricity through the knob. No use, the wires were fried.
"She's going to kill me," he mumbled, as he used his harpy eagle wing to push open the door.
Immediately Maxwell blushed, the girl who dressed like a nerd but was drop dead gorgeous was slowly stripping off her clothes for a shower. She stopped immediately before taking off her pants, she felt a stare go down her back.
Close the door, close the door, close the door. Instead of following his thoughts, Maxwell just stood there, gawking at her.
"KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH~!" the girl screamed on the top of her lungs. Maxwell quickly closed the door and accidently banged his head on the wood framing.
"Gah!" he hissed as blood trickled down his forehead.
Few minutes passed and the two of them were staring at each other across the room. The girl in a chair catcornered near a window, and Maxwell sitting at the edge of her bed near the bathroom.
"So...you're an angel?"
"I don't know WHAT I am, all I know is that I have wings, can't fly, and can control electricity and crap."
"I can't believe this. My house lights are out thanks to your 'power'. First you threatened me to take you to my place because you were being followed, then you promised me that you will help me with my exams, now I come upstairs and discover you blew up my lights, then you stare at me half-naked like a fool!" Maxwell was only paying half attention to her, his arms behind his head and his eyes staring off in a distance.
"So what's your name anyway?" he asked suddenly. The girl was taken aback, she boiled over almost but immediately cooled down.
"Ellizebeth, or 'Eli' for short. What's yours latino boy?" retorted Eli short temperedly. Maxwell only smirked, "I dunno. I just call myself Maxwell." Hearing this, Elizabeth shot up in her seat, "How can you not know your own name?"
"I don't know because I fell out of the sky and landed in the middle of nowhere in a frickn' desert. That's why. Maybe even before that happened, I might have not known who I was. I just don't know. So I'm searching for a lead, or a person who at least knows who I am. I see very clearly that you don't, and hate my guts already (which I find awfully cute)."
"So you have wings, you fell from the sky, you can control electricity, you have total amnesia of everything that deals with your personal life...what next? You're three hundred?"
"Who know's probably am." Maxwell leaned over in his seat, and grinned mischieviously at Elizabeth.
"I see why people are after you, it's not everyday that a REAL creature like you exists. If you are considered a creature that is. You look too human. And besides, you might have lost your memory for a really good reason." Elizabeth stood up and felt her way over to the bathroom.
"I guess you're right Eli, I wouldn't go in there if I were you though."
