Once there was a peace within the world, all of the races got along perfectly well. The fey (fairies and such) were happy and held celebrations, keeping the seasons as they went as well. The lycanthropes stayed near the woods, being in organized packs yet being close to the cities and other races. Vampires drank from willing humans and other willing creatures. Dragon kin stayed isolated, but would be near the other if needed. Demons and angels stayed away from each other but for the most part, life was good for them all.
That changed once a war broke out between the demons and angels. Humans tried to stay out of it but always ended up in the cross fire. Years later vampires were more a vicious type of creature for the most part, lycanthropes hated the suckers now. Shapeshifters stuck to humans or lycanthropes, staying away from any other race. Demons and angels still held grudges toward each other and the Dragon Kin seemed to have disappeared.
One ancient survived the wars, a hybrid from the time before. The woman Bellatrix Rayn, a hybrid. The woman is trying to get the races to co-operate and put aside old grudges. This woman who has seen war and peace, as well as the after effects pulling together a new community where all are welcome. She may be the leader of the city, but she is also the leader of her Inforcers. A warrior at heart.
