Satoru smirked, "Well now.. dead parents aren't worth much anyways." He shrugged as he heard Mel stirring and his smirk vanished, she just placed herself in danger. Granteed without her knowledge.. but still, his grip tightened on his sword it blazed brighter. Half breed? Oh no he did not.. that's automatic death right there, his eyes sliced through the darkness locking onto him with ease as he blinked once. Two dagger were sent through the ground without him even moving. He loved times like these where he could use dark magic for small yet lethal things. He started swinging the spiked chain and he knew his target before he even moved, "What's it to you if I felt like saving the Earth aside from destroying it like you are about to." he growled ready to lunge for him at any second. As soon as the chain grabbed Mel he was out, his wings pierced the blackness that surrounded them, hardly visable to anyone aside from a creature of the night. "Any bit closer and your head will somehow be disconnected from your body!!" He snarled as he closed in. Stripes of purple were sent out from the sword binding the vampire in his own death trap so to speak. He had to worrk about the chain Mel was dying he could feel her growing weaker. Bad timing.. he sliced towards Haruka's hand that held the chain. "You got to give a little instead of taking a lot." he growled baring his fangs as they reached for his neck. Just as he was about to break skin she heard the scream from Mel, she was fighting back. He glanced back at her, taking his eyes off of Haruka for a split second, worry deep in his eyes, she wasn't really in the state to say that much.

Haruka grinned when the daggers came out of the ground. "Nice touch." He said, then he pulled harder on chain, causing more pain to Mel, her blood was leaving a trail as he pulled her in. "Half breed, take as much skin as you want. It won't do much damage." He didn't get hit by his black magic. He spread his wings as well, he was backing up, he was getting ready to take it out in the open, or more like in the air, and Mel would be dead by then, then he wouldn't have to worry about her struggling anymore. He pulled harder and got her really close, "Come on baby... You're soooo close." He said, grinning again. As soon as Satoru took his eyes off of Haruka he bared his fangs into his neck, throwing him into the wall as he did. He never let go of the chain, it wouldn't go far if it did, he had hit tied to him. "Just try to bite me again!" He said, very pis**d that he even tried, he hated it when lower vampires tried to, even if it was for his blood. He found it sickening. He saw that Mel was getting weak, but gave her credit for keeping up a fight. "She's not going to make, by the time you are dead, she'll be looong gone." He said, he was hoping she would.

Melanie screamed in pain again, she looked down, her cloths were stained with blood. She saw the trail of blood, her head was getting fogged, but she kept it high. She wasn't going to let this bast*** get the best of her. "I won't go down so easily!" Her eyes started to glow that gold color, it was so bright, you could see the walls of the cave. She said a couple of words and her sword was in her right hand, once it was there, it also started to glow, finally she broke the chain, but blood was everywhere, running down her arms and sides. As he pulled the chain it came right to him, she grinned, "I told you..." She said, getting up, but swaying at the same time. She went over to Satoru and made sure he was okay. She gave him a small smile, trying to reassure him, but knew it wasn't going to work, she was on her death bed. She looked at Haruka, she could tell he was big in size but that wasn't going to stop her now. She was still swaying, her vision going blurry, she had to keep shaking her head to clear it. She noticed he was close to the entrance. She had a plan now, she was going to drive him out and attack that way, she didn't have anything to work with in here. As she had the sword, she started to burst into flames, it was happy to be free again.

Satoru felt his magic fail as it rebounded off of the vampire. Da**it. He thought under his breath before he was flying into the wall. He had enough momentum to turn, but his back hit the cave wall full force, he slid to the ground. He shook his head, but the world was spinning, he could feel the trickle of bloood on his neck and knew it was a stupid idea to leave himself open like that, but he had; had more confidence in his magic.. why had it failed? He was pi**ed now, this a** was going to get away with it if he didn't move quick. "I'll tear your limbs apart if you pull something like that again." he growled in response to his biting crap. He laughed a somewhat evil laugh, "Ha.. you really had your hopes on killing me, what a pity, I'm not as weak as you think." He said standing up with confidence as Mel broke the chain's hold and started to stand. He could see how weak she was, she was stained in blood. He would have lost it if he haden't just sucked her dry to begin with. there wasn't much left to lose, she was in dire danger and he had to kill this hjerk first before he could do anything else. Before he could move forward she was calling on thw sword.. the one that practically killed him before, this wasn't good. "What are you doing?" he gaped at her, anger still deep in his voice. He watched as the sword blazed with a fire, he shivered. Fire was very dangerous to vampires, he found himself backing away from her instead of running over to help. "If you use that thing it will only kill you faster." he pleaded with her, as his mind started to spin. He looked back to the other vampire and lunged, he would kill him before she had a chance to ruin herself. He started to slice the air with his blade, thousands of blade-like strips filled the air all of them surrounding Haruka, slicing him left and right. Before he could react Satoru came in with te real thing and gashed at his side.

Haruka didn't have time to act, he couldn't believe the girl got free, then, before he knew it Satoru was coming at him. He started to back up and trying to dodge the blades, but they came to fast. He got out to the open, and flew up in the air after Satoru got him. "I'll be back..." He said, blood dripping from him, he was flying off, and growling. He was pi**ed that he failed, but knew he wouldn't when he returned. He looked back, he saw Melanie's sword and hoped he wouldn't encounter it, it looked strong, but he found it a more of a challenge than anything. He could tell she would be going down soon though, she was bleeding out. He grinned, at least she would die one way. He took off to heal his own wounds, he had to feed on something, all of the blood had his head spinning. Before anyone could attack him, he was gone.

Melanie looked at him, then back to Haruka, he was a coward when it came to fire, she could smell his fear. She saw Satoru attack, and saw that it was working. She grinned, but then her feet were starting to give in, she couldn't take another step. She fell to her knees, using her sword to hold her up, finally she let go of it, falling to the ground. The sword was no longer blazing and her eyes were dull, blank. "Sa... Satoru..." She said, she closed her eyes, everything went black. She didn't give up, not when she was safe now, sort of. She was fighting inside, but her body was telling her that she had to give up, there was no hope. Everything around her started to fade, like the last time she had this happen. The moon went black, you couldn't see anything, the trees were dying. She never stopped bleeding, it was going to keep going until she was dry. She tried to find her voice, but it failed her, she tried again. "Sa...to...ru..." Was all she could get out. Her hand was reaching out to. If she was going to fade, then she didn't want to be alone. She opened her eyes, they weren't very open, but enough to see that Haruka got away and to see Satoru standing there. She tried to get up, very little, but tried, she got two inches before falling again. She wasn't giving up, not yet. She had to get to him, she had too. "Satoru... Satoru..." Was all that ran through her head, she wanted him badly. She was slightly glowing... It was a sign that she was still with them, but going fast. She was hoping that Satoru would revenge her in a way, but also hoped she would live and be able to do it with him.

Satoru landed on the ground as his magic disappeared, his sword stopped glowing as the vampire flew off with a threatening glance which really didn't scare him in the least. He slid his sword back into it's sheath, "Ha..like to see that day." he growled up at him watching as he turned around to see Mel and her sword. He shook his head and turned back to Mel ready to brace whatever damage had been done.

He ran to her side as he heard his name being called weakily, "Mel.. hold on." He gasped landing on his knees next to her as he pushed away the sword and caught her, hat thing was deadly, he wanted nothing to do with it. The smell of her blood was overwhelming and he knew he had to act fast, but what could he do? There was nothing that would make this bet.. he stopped as his mind flashed to the only way to save her. He had vnever attempted it before but he had seen it done and knew all the steps. he would have to cause her more pain just to save her, he was willing but was she? He looked down to her eyes, emotionless and glazed over, it was too late to asked, he took a deep breath and found an open wound on her neck. He sliced the inside of his hand with his fang and allowed the blood to drip into Mel's open wound. "Mel if you can hear me.." he said his heart hammering inside of his chest. "This is the least i can do for you, if..if it doesn't work.." He stopped himself, "It will work, but there will be more pain as my blood courses through your veins, but you will be safe. Stronger.. mine." He added with a whisper as he held her close but at eye level to be able to watch her, hoing it woul work out. If she screamed from the pain he would know it was working, he would revive her, he had to.

As soon as Satoru had his arms around her, she had the will to fight even more. She tried to respond, but couldn't find her voice. Soon, she felt his blood on her opened wound. She didn't feel anything at first, but after a couple of minutes she started to feel a burning, it was running through her veins. She started to scream, it felt like she was in lava, she wanted it to stop. She started to grasp Satoru's arm, her eyes were open, but they were getting tears in them, they started to roll down her cheek. "Make it stop....please!!!" She kept repeating it, it was hurting her, she didn't like the pain, but then she heard him say a word, Stronger...mine. She still didn't want the pain. Her grasp never stopped, it was there the whole time.

~hours later~
The burning finally stopped a bit, she could still feel the burning, but she was okay enough to move and talk. "Satoru...?" She said, opening her eyes, looking around. She could smell blood, her blood. Her eye started to glow a light red, but all she wanted right now was Satoru. Where was he, what happened to me, what am I? She kept asking herself all of these questions, finally, she found the scent of Satoru and looked at him. She lifted her hand and ran it to his cheek. "You... You saved me..." She said faintly. She couldn't believe everything happened, she started to remember what had happened, but the one she truly remember was the burning. She winced at it, she didn't want that kind of pain again. "What happened?" She asked, letting her grip go on his cloths. She looked for her sword and saw it pushed a ways away. Everything was kind of blurry, she wanted to know what happened and why... But she could get the answer later. Then she noticed a burning feeling in her throat, it hurt, it felt like her throat was so dry that she couldn't swallow.

Satoru watched her carefully and winced at her scream, he knew it was working then and he had to smile, but it soon disappeared as her grip tightened on his arm. The pain is unbearable, he thought remembering that like it was yesterday, he almost looked away but instead he held her close. Her eyes were tearing up and he felt aweful for having to bring her so much pain, his own eyes shown hurt and pain. His arm eventually went numb but it didn't bother him, the only thing on his mind was her. He wished more than anything that she would make it through, and something deep down told him she would. She's a fighter she can bare this pain.. she had to.

~Hours Later~
Satoru was still sitting in silence he had blocked out the smell of blood and was rocking her, it had been a while and he was growing worried, buthis ears pricked up when he heard her stirring. She moved in his arms and he looked down as she called him, a huge grin spread over his lips, "Thank goodness your alright." He whispered, he could see her eyes had turned colors accordingly, she looked thirsty as she should be. Her hand reached his cheek and he smiled, "I did.. it was the only thinkg I could think of." He said covering her hand with his own, then brought his free hand to her lips, "First you must drink, i know you have a dry raspy throat, I will explain everything when you've finished." He looked to the palm of his hand it was pretty well healed already but there was no worry in the matter. He brought it back to his mouth and sliced it open once again, bringing it to a rest under Mel's nose. "Please.. I insist." he said with a small smile, he was so used to pain that nothing seemed to hurt him anymore.

Melanie looked at him, then his palm, her eyes going a brighter red. Her throat was telling to take it, but her mind was fighting, she wasn't about to suck him dry. Then she couldn't stand it anymore, it was driving her insane. Her fangs came out and she went right for it, she started to lap up the blood, then she felt like she couldn't stop, but after a couple of minutes, her eyes went back to her normal color and she pulled away, licking her lips. She looked up to Satoru with eyes that were saying she was very sorry. She blushed, well sort of. She could hear everything, see everything a normal human couldn't. It was slightly new to her, even though she had a power very similar, but very different. "What happened?" She asked, putting her hand on his cheek again and looking into his eyes. She was happy to be in his arms again, so happy, she didn't move. Before he could say anything, she moved herself up a bit and kissed him, she had one hand on his cheek and the other going around his body. She wanted to kiss him, since the last time they kissed was only for a second. She felt so better now, she could take the weight off of her shoulders now, she was much stronger. After a bit, she pulled back and smiled. "Thank you... Even if it brought me more pain, it was worth it..." She said, staring into his eyes.

She got up and sat there with him for a bit, just taking everything in. She hoped to catch Haruka soon, she had a promise to make, a promise she made to herself. She was going to hurt him. He almost killed her, and with doing that, he hurt the one she loved. "I will kill him... I don't care what I've got to do. I'll hunt his a** down until I find him..." She said, glaring at a rock. "Then kill him with my bare hands." She stopped talking and looked at herself. This wasn't her, she wasn't like this, what happened to her? She was going through so many thing, trying to find out if she was still herself, or if she changed with the change she did. She couldn't think of why or how, she just let it roll of her shoulders for now. She was with the one she loved and cared about, that's all that mattered to her right now. "I... I... I love you Satoru." She said, looking up at him, with eyes that could kill any mans heart.

Satoru watched intently as her eyes grew bright red and she finally gave in to the temptation and bit down on his palm. He somewhat smiled a twisted smile at the pain. normally he would pull back, escape it, but this was different.. the one he was growing to love was feeding off of him, he was her first meal, it pleased him. He waited until her eyes flashed back to their normal color and she sat back before she looked up at him with appologetic eyes. He smiled at her as he noticed her face was concentrating to everything new to her, he'd have to show her everything. He was looking forward to it though as he wondered if she had wings, she should. Mel's hand reached to his cheek and snapped him back to reality and he smiled as she asked what had happened. He was about to tell her when she leaned up and kissed his lips, just like that. He knew she was growing used to having him there, and he was getting used to being there, he kissed her back and closed his eyes. That is until she pulled back a bit later and he reopened them. "I had a figuring you would hate me, but it was the only way to save you." He answered as she spoke.

Satoru had to let out a laugh at her atitude then, she was acting differently.. stronger.. perfect. He smiled as he listened to her speak of the a** that attacked them not but a few hours earlier. "Don't worry, I would have killed him, but I knew you were fading. We had him before that is you call that thing to you." He said nodding towards the sword that still lay about a foot away from where they sat. "I do hope you won't need that anymore, it may be only you it listens. Unbeknownst to you, fire can kill us just as the silver in bullets can." He added in a somewhat lower tone. He was taken offguard when she threw in those words again, "I..i.." He paused as her ees melted him inside he would say it with confidence now, "I love you too Mel." He said hugging her closer with a soft smile. After a few minutes he turned to kiss her cheek then pulled back, "I know your curious now.. do you want to know what happened after I.." he stopped she knew what he meant, he'd rather not reiterate(sp?) that part if he didn't have to.

Mel smiled when she was in his arms with a hug. "I don't want to know..." She said, looking up at him. She knew what happened after that part, and hoped she didn't have to relive it either. She looked over at the sword, she didn't want to just leave it, never use it again. It saved her from so many things in the past, it defeated the Overlord. "Love... I can't give that up... It's the only thing that can defeat the Overlord." She said, taking her eyes off of it to see what he would say. "I defeated him with that many years ago. It may take me sometime to control it again, but I'm sure I can get it to work under my orders." She said, getting up and going to it. She lifted one hand, her right one, and it came to her, then she sheathed it. She looked at her arm, making sure nothing happened. "You know, I may be stronger... But this life is going to take some time for me to get use to..." She said, turning back to him. Then she heard something and she could smell the blood running through it's veins. With her being a new vampire, blood was strong to her nose, if she smelled it, she would go after it. She took a deep breath, trying to control herself. "Should I go out into the open?" She asked, looking around, there was nothing in this cave, nothing but her blood, drying on the walls of it. Once she realized out much she really was bleeding, the memories came back to her. She winced, she started to shake her head clear of them. She wanted to get out of this cave as soon as possible, it wasn't good for her.

She walked over to Satoru and kissed his cheek, then taking his hand. "How about we go and see if everything is ok out in the world?" She asked, starting to walk. As soon as she walked out, her eyes started to glow a red color, though, she was under control, she didn't feel like she had to go and hunt. She wasn't wanting to hunt people, or even animals for that matter, not when she could still feel the pain from them. She wasn't her normal self, but she still had her other powers. She saw everything, heard everything, smelled everything. She loved it, it was a new life, and she could share it with the one she fell in love with. She smiled when she thought about that. She looked at their hands, then looked at him. She was glad he saved her, even if it was this way. She didn't want to fade, not when she had a new person to share life with. "I think... I should go back to my home... I'm sure my servants are worried. I've been gone a very long time... Even though I'm always gone, but still." She said, looking at him. If they were afraid, then she would show them that she was one now too, and they would either leave, or deal with it. She also decided she was going to announce what was going on with the world, she felt like they were being shielded. It was time to let them out of this box of a LIFE, and let them help Melanie with this war.

Satoru watched as her eyes glided to the sword and she mentioned how she didn't want to know. She must have a pretty good idea what had happened, he simply nodded as he too looked over at the sword. "Mel, your not giving yourself enough credit." He said after she had finished and stood up. "I understand your worried something like that may happen again, but I know for a fact you are stronger, you don't need that sword..a..at least not as much as you used to. I can teach you everything I know about being a vampire." He stood up as she came over to him. "Fine though, I can see your going to be stubborn on that matter, I can already tell that that thing has tred more than once to kill you. It's not safe, I won't be able to stop it everytime if it gets out of control." He paused, "I'm just worried about your safety.. I can't be saving you left and right if it was a silly idea to grab the sword and run with it you know. That sword could kill me.. more importantly it could kill you." He looked over at her as she had paused to look around, her nose must be adjusting to the smell of her own blood, he needed to get her out of here before she lost control and went on a rampage. She needed to know how to control the urge while around others. It may take a while but he had to make sure she was alright.

He nodded as she kissed his cheek and slipped her hand into his, "Yes.. it will be safer somewhere else." He said looking around to the walls, Satoru walked out with her and looked around again. It was still dark out, but he knew that would give them a bit of cover. He nodded, "That may be the best idea, though are you sure you be alright?" he asked notng her eyes, he had to teach her how to look normal aside from the being a vampire fact. "Maybe I should teach you a few things before we leave for the castle." he suggested, "I would hate to have them be offended by you, even though you are even more beautiful now." He whispered kissing her cheek, "Although that is up to you, if they are as dedicated to you as they should be then there will be no problems." He looked at her before walking again, "Your a new creature now, there's so much more to explore, so much more you can do." He had to admit he was quite excited, he wanted to explore her new world with her.

She had to smile when he called her beautiful. She started to walk forward, she was nervous though, she didn't know if she could control herself with all of the creatures running around at night. "Maybe... Yeah, I don't want them to start running, though I'm sure they already know a thing or two about me... With the hunters r--" she stopped dead in her tracks. She smelled a human... But he was different than a normal. He had a gun and it had silver in it. "He got free..." She whispered to Satoru. She looked at him, then her surroundings. She wanted to get everything down before he go to close, she was going to take care of him this time. She was sick of him calling her names and trying to shoot the one she loved. "Well well well, look who came out of the hiding place." Chitose said, he was grinning, but hiding in the shadows. Mel grinned, her fangs were to their full extent, her eyes were a bright red. "So, you thought that little stone trick would work on me?" He said, chuckling. "Ha! I takes a lot more than that to get me off your tail. Oh, and I brought a friend too." As soon as he got done saying, the werewolf was out in the open, staring at Satoru, he had a bone to pick with him this time. He was going to get him back for throwing him into a tree, "So, you knocked me out, big deal, I'm back and ready to kill you." He growled. Melanie hissed at him, she wanted to tear his throat out. "So, you think I can't take you down? Ha... You're about to get a news flash." She growled. Then her head turned to the wolf, but only for a second, she wished he would stay out of this, it was the hunters fault he was even here.

Melanie was going to try her best not to use her sword, she wanted to test out her other powers now. She never took her eyes off of Chitose, she wanted to take care of him while Satoru's blood was running through her veins. "So... You had enough of the vampire yet? I'll take care of--" He stopped to grin, he now saw that Mel was one too. "Oh, so he finally turned you... Well I'll let ya know one thing, you look... Hmmm, whats the word I should use today... Oh, that's right, like a bloodsucker." He said, pulling his gun out. "So now I get the honor to kill two in a row." He said, pointing it at Mel, he wanted to get rid of her first, he figured she'd go down easy. Mel was out of his site before he could even get the gun loaded. She appeared behind him now, she went to his ear. "I don't die so easily now..." And she was gone before he could even turn around, she appeared next to Satoru again. She looked at him, nodding her head towards the mutt. "You get him... I want the hunter." She said in a growl. She was sick of his talk, and wanted his blood. "I hope you're not afraid of girls..." She taunted. Chitose grinned, he liked to have a good fight, and was excited about this one.

Satoru followed after her but soon froze a second later, "Guess whose back." He growled his fangs at full extent and his eyes flashed a deep red. They hungered for the kill, he looked to the trees that concealed the two. "What brings you back?" He growled as the hunnter walked out of the shadows, "I have to admit, you have courage to stand up to the pair of us. Either that or your just stupid.. my vote goes to number two." He said with a smirk as he watched the mutt come out of the shadows besides the hunter and his eyes narrowed, "Well now, the mutt returns with his protector, ha.. you really think you can get the best of me? Throwing you into that tree was nothing, just wait. You want a fight? I'll give you one you'll never forget." He said already in a low crouch ready to pounce on the beast, he could hear how Mel was throwing threats at the huner and he know she hungered for a fight just as much as the rest of them. He had no worries about her anymore, the scent of silver was in the air and he knew this guy meant business, but they were not about to go down without a fight. "You'd be surprised how much stronger she's grown." He growled, his eyes flicking to the hunter for a split second.

Satoru grinned as the hunter found the truth about Mel, "Well gee, what kind of guy would I be if I let her die?" he asked, "I don't need your consent to do anything, so in return you pay the price of trying to kill us in the first place." He watched as Mel's swift motions baffled the hunter, she's learning already. Smart girl." He thought as she returned to his side and devised a plan of him going for the mutt and her the hunter, he had no objections there. "Just bne careful, and don't overdo it.. you may still be weak." he whispered in an inaudiable tone so only the two could hear. His eyes were back on the mutt and a malicious grin was spread across his face. He readied himself to strike and when the time was right snapped his fingers. A blinding light struck down infront of the wolf, he appeared in it's spot as the wolf was least expecting it.

Mel looked at the mutt, he was blind. She couldn't help but grin, but her mind and site went right back to Chitose. "So... Are you ready to get beat down by a girl?" She taunted him again. She was going to have fun with her first kill. But when Satoru told her to be careful, she didn't hear him, her mind was to busy calculating on her mission. She moved to a tree, "Oh, come on... You must be a lot better than that." She said to him. He was trying to get a hold of himself, he's never seen a new born vampire this will trained right after turning. He shot at the tree. "Missed me.." She said right behind him, going to break his neck, but wasn't quick enough, he turned around and had the gun to her head. She grinned, and then she was gone. His eyes got wide, he didn't know how she was so quick, or so controlled. "Missed me again... And I was right there." She said, then she started to use her magic. She called to the trees, making them get higher for her, and then the roots were going towards Chitose. He started to move, but wasn't quick enough. Before he could say a word she was at his left side, going for the kill. Right when her fangs were close, something hit her, it was a bullet, not just any bullet, it was a silver bullet. Mel backed off, she felt slightly weakened, but it didn't stop her. She moved to a different spot and made sure his hands couldn't move this time. "So, you thought hitting me in the shoulder would kill me... You know, you're suppose to hit the head, or heart." She said, taunting him again. "You blood sucking BI***, I'll get you next time!" He said, trying to get free, but the trees only tightened their grip on him. He was starting to bleed. Melanie smelled it, she was grinning ear to ear.

The wolf was blind, he couldn't see. "What the h8ll! I can't see!" He said, growling. He started to run in a circle, thinking he was going one way, he heard Satoru coming, but couldn't see what side he was coming from. Finally he got out of the light, but only in time to get hit by Satoru, he was pinned, he started to snap at his neck, hoping to hit him, but had a feeling he wasn't going to make it. He was kicking and growling and snapping as much as he could, he wasn't going to back down from this fight. He finally got a good grip of Satoru and kicked him off. He got up and turned himself to look at Satoru, knowing he wasn't going to be down long. He lunged himself at him, giving him no time to react. He dug his teeth into Satoru's left shoulder. He thought that maybe he could wound his arms, he wouldn't be able to use magic against him.

Satoru was ready to pounce and did so just as the wolf came into sight. He pinned him to the ground before he knew it was coming, he loved having the edge of dark magic, he'd be lost without it sometimes. He managed to dodge the wolve's snapping jaws, but just barely. His neck was scratched by a stray fang of the mutt and he glared hard at him. At the last second as he didged another bite he felt the mutt's back legs in his stomach and he was kicked off. He flew back but skidded to a stop in the dirt. Before the dust cleared however the wolf was at his shoulder. he marveled at his speed as he gnawed on his shoulder. "Stupid mutt." He growled unsheathing his sword and slicing at the wolf to get him off of his shoulder. "You don't actually think you can win against me now do you?" His last slice made contact with the soft fur, his right hind leg was slashed open and Staoru grinned,"I'm telling you to escape, run while you can.
