Rest, a voice said to Ryuu softly in his mind. Once this is over, rest for me, okay?

Husky leaped back into the pond, and turned back into his merman self. He floated around in the refreshing water and thought things over.
"I managed to escape for now. But Kisime will be back, and he won't be stopped. Maria might be busying herself by beating the living hell out of him right about now." He sighed, "This is my first time seeing a man loose his normal self. What a horrible thing to witness, a once well being turned into something grotesque and unworthy to be called 'normal'."

Riiya continued to sleep, his slumber was dreamless and it seemed it was going to last forever.

Maids and Guards bowed as Mitsu made her way toward the kitchen to eat. A waitress came over, "Honored guest," The woman wasn't even scared or at the least effected by what happened only thirty minutes ago.
"What would you like to order?" A smile was still on her face, and everyone in the kitchen was lively and happy. It seemed that intruders and murders were 'normal' in the palace. It was like they were used to all of this blood shed and asassins trying to overthrow the kingdom.

Kero watched as Tatsou left, she smiled inwardly to herself. He accepts me. He doesn't care if I give him family or not...
"He really is something."

Maria slapped Kisime across the face with the back of her hand. She laughed as he fell over and as she began to kick him. "You idiot! Don't you know that I can hear miles away?! So you want power eh? Well I'm giving you none! You're my (w)itch now! You do as I say." She squatted down and looked Kisime dead in the eye, "You might be a spirit known for his brute strength and intellegence, but I'm stronger than you now. Those 'four thousand army' days are over. You are nothing but foot soldier compared to me now."
She stood back to her feet, and walked over to the water again, immediately turning into a mermaid. "Atleast Husky-poo is safe. I'm glad those trash people aren't dirtying him up!" She sighed in pain, "I wish Husky would give me his power to turn human already? It hurts every time I attempt to gain legs! It takes a year off my life. I wonder how many years I have left!" She tapped her finger on her cheek, "What a mind boggler!"
Kisime only got to his feet, his eyes filled with rage and admiration of her power. He only shrugged the beating off and turned to leave.

The maid accompaniying the nurse nodded at Kero, "Misstress Kero I do believe you have found a one of a kind. I have only heard stories of the mage Tatsou, he's a very powerful man, and yet he would normally spend his days meditationg and growing stronger and wiser, than taking over a place such as this. King Ryuu knows him well, I suppose they used to be good friends as well." She smiled as the nurse was bandaging Kero's wounds and healing her. "I envy you, and think you will be best suited for him, I hope the two of you live a long and healthy life togetehr when all of this settles down." She smiled at her before aiding the nurse with a bandage.

Mitsu smiled, "Please call me Mitsu. It seems you are all custom with these attacks. This is aweful, doesn't it shake you up in the least?" She asked curiously as she looked around, not quite sure what she wanted to eat in the first place, but she finally decided after a few moments. "I think I'll have a soup and salad with a bit of bread please. Whatever you have around is fine, I need no special treatment." She smiled a brave smile, not wanting all of the special treatment as she figured she didn't deserve it. If they only knew, what would they even think of me? She sighed and started to play with her hands, tapping them to an unknown beat on the table.

Ryuu looked up as he heard a voice enter his mind, he looked around but smiled at himself. Still watching over me love? You know I will... please take it easy, I bet your overworking yourself even from where you sit peacefully watching over us to be sure we are alright. We are just fine, and though I miss you dearly I want nothing more than to tajke care of this Kingdom you left in my capable hands. I'd love to see you again, but I still don't think Hotaru is ready, I fear she has a rough life ahead of her, tough decisions that may make or break her depending on how she chooses. Is there anything you can help me with? I don't know a woman's mind but I wish to help her as much as I can. He frowned as there was a knock at the door, distracting him back to reality.
Tatsou made straight for the throne room as he left Kero's room. Feeling a bit on the hungry side but he'd stop for food on the way back. This was more important and had to be done. He paused at the twin doors and nodded at the doorsmen who knocked to open the doors, awaiting the ing's response before pushing them open and bowing as Tatsou walked past them into the room, the doors closing behind him. "Your Highness." He bowed respectfully as he looked back up at him. "Sir if I may you look horrid, are you sure you wish to do this now and not another time?"
Ryuu looked up at Tatsou and sighed, "Hush, we will speak of this now." He said sliding from the throne and walking into the back with a simple gesture of his hand for Tatsou to follow him.
(Going to just skip ahead next time, less you have ideas for the plan, we'll just wing it when the time comes. ^^)

The waitress sighed, "This is natural honored guest. We go through this every year, if you ask a person here if they had lost somone, they would only answer: 'Who hasn't?'" The chef placed the order in the window. "You may be surprised to hear this, but there are families that live and work here. Not just hired staff and faculty. Alot of us have been here for generations."
The waitress walked over and picked up the tray filled with steaming hot soup, a salad, and a buttered roll. She placed it down neatly before Mitsu.
"We know since birth that our job can be just as dangerous as a soldier out on the battlefield. Castle life and work isn't easy. We lost about nine men today, and they will be funeralized and buried shortly. It is quick and short. The Queen used to come and say goodbye to the fallen, but now that she is gone...there is no such thing. Alot of the kingdom's beauty left when the Queen died."

Kero nodded solemnly at what the maid and nurse said. "Thank you, I will take advantage of my luck." She grinned, "I should give this love of ours a try. Thank you for helping me in my wounds, and bringing my love to realization."

Don't fret over Hotaru. She's our daughter and will find her way...and even recieve help from the least expected. Farewell love...

Mitsu frowned, "That's horrible, but I guess I've never known the high life." She said softly, "I can only hope my presense here is not worthless. I would not mind attending these funerals if it is so wished. I know the Princess is absent, the Prince and King are both very tired." She smiled and thanked the chef and maid whom brought the plate out to her. "However I am but a stranger still, if it's not wanted then I will stay put in the castle." She looked over her soup as she started on her salad, to allow the soup to cool just a bit.

The maid and nurse nodded, "Of course Mistress Kero. Take it easy then." They bothe curtseyed before leaving with smiles, leaving Kero alone, but not for long as tasou would return shortly.

Ryuu sighed but nodded mentally, Aye love, rest easy. I strive to join you in our second life. He finished up with Tatsou as they figured out a rather perfect plan for everything and shooed him off but not without letting him know that he would rest and intended to. He moved out of the back room and sluggishly back to his own room. Collapsing into his bed as soon as he touched it.
Tatsou let King Ryuu into everything he figured would happen soon enough as he finished and told him to rest up. Once agreed he left before the King and made his way to the kitchen. Pushing open the door he smiled over at Mitsu. "Miss Mitsu, I assume you are doing well." He bowed respectfully at her before taking a seat beside her and letting the chef know he wished for a small picnic of sorts for two. He smiled as he looked back at Mitsu, "I'm glad to see you are safe and unharmed. However the whole bow and arrows... are you sure those are necessary?" He asked curiously as she shifted in her chair at the mention.

The same waitress came over with the meal, she refilled Mitsu's drink and poured Tastou his drink. "Therey you go, enjoy." The waitress took off her apron and placed it on a vacant chair.
"I'm going to pick the kids up from school," she said to the chef, he nodded and waved good-bye. "See you Cassedy." She left,and closed the door, just as she left kids came running in.
"Shouldn't you kids be in the workers quarters at this time of day?!"
"Don't worry Otu-san! We'll be fine! No aritocrats are here today!" A girl looked over at Tatsou, "Woah~! He looks so cool. Hi Mister!" The eldest boy hurried over and covered the girls mouth.
"That's Tatsou-sama, he's the highest of the high. The greatest mage ever. Show some respect would you?" He bowed quickly, forcing the little girl to bow aswell.
"Sorry Dad for intruding. We'll go now!" The two bowed once again and left Mitsu and Tatsou's presence immediately.
The chef shook his head and turned back to cooking and cleaning up the small section of the large kitchen.

Mitsu bowed her head lightly as Tatsou came in, she began sipping on her soup as he adressed the maids and such about his wantings. She thanked the maid as she refilled her drink and left the two to talk. "Tatsou, I do think I am over cautious. However with the recent sitations I'd rather be safe then sorry. Do you not agree?" She asked with a smile as she dipped her bread into her soup and took a bite of it. "Don't get me wrong this castle is very well protected, but my magics alone may not be enough next time." She sighed lightly but snapped back to her cheerful self as a few kids came in. "So cute." She giggled as the oldest noticed who Tatsou really was before they rushed out.
Tatsou nodded, "Perhaps you are right, only I do bid you be careful. Be sure to stay by Prince Riiya side more than not. I see how he fancies you and your well being. With you rushing off and such I cannot imagine he doesn't worry. Though I must say you remind me much of him. He's very much the same in that manner." He grinned, and thanked the maid as she left the tray before him with his drinks. "I'd love to stay and cha..." He paused as the kids walked in all happily. He chuckled, "Ah do not fret, it's a pleasure to met you." He said bowing back at the kids before they rushed out. "Yes cute indeed." He chuckled once more as he bid his farewell to Mitsu and left with the tray setting for himself and Kero.
Mitsu smiled as the door closed behind Tatsou and she looked back to the chef, "Mind making something the Prince would like sir? I wish to take him something for when he wakes." She smiled as she finished her dinner while she waited.

The chef nodded and quickly prepared something, he rang a bell and a little girl came in wearing a maid outfit. "Here Kobato, take it to the Prince's room." She nodded and reached up and grabbed the tray and bustled out.
"You see, we teach our kids young. The palace doesn't just house the royal family, but the dukes and high order aswell."

Mitsu smiled as she listened, "Wonderful indeed sir. I think that is a great idea, it helps whenthey become big and can really help ouyt around here. Learning from the best around, it must be an honor." She curtseyed before thanking him and making her way out of the room behind the maid. Pushing open Riiya's door and allowing the two to enter. She motioned to his desk to set down the tray as she walked over to Riiya, still sleeping like a baby, looking very relaxed.
Tatsou made his way to Kero's room, knocking once on the door before he pushed it open, "Hey." He called over to her in a very laid back and relaxed voice, he was begining to like it here. "I've brought something to eat, hope your hungry." He said as he walked over to the massive bed and laid out everything. "I wanted to go outside for a better effect, but this will do just fine." He smiled at her as the sandwhiches were laid out and he poured two wine glasses, setting them on the table beside the bed.

"Oh, you want me drunk?" she asks laughing lightly through the pain. "Ahhh...you don't want to see me drunk. I'd burn down the building and won't remember it the next day." She giggled, "Of course, you already know this because you know everything...right?" Kero reached out and grabbed the glass of wine, she sipped it slowly, it burned her insides as she was still healing internally. She stopped drinking immediately when it became unbearable.
"Ah, good stuff," she lied, placing the glass down and lying back.
She looked at the sandwhiches, they were delicious looking, and she wanted them. If she ate them however, it will only end up like the wine: pain to her slowly healing stomach. She cringed at this, "Bad deal," She sat up slightly on the bed. "Thank you for bringing me food Tat-chan. But...I won't be able to eat this sadly. I'm sorry, I should've told you or...or warned you..." She brushed her bangs from her face and blushed slightly.
"So sorry."

Riiya opened his eyes slightly to Mitsu's entrance, he was still asleep and closed them once more. The young maid bowed and walked out immediately.

Tatsou smiled at Kero, "Heh, drunk my dear? I think not, however I do admit when you are in such a state you are mighty cute." He winked at her and watched as she attempted a drink of the wine, "Fear not my love. I know your condition, though I have to admit I'm also worried for you. I have laced the wine and almost everything else here with my healing powers. See what you can do without it hurting too much. It's been too long since you have last eaten anything, long before this whole commotion had begun. It'd do me some good to see you eat something." He attempted a smile but he knew she was hurting and he felt aweful that there wasn't much more he could do less she allowed him to. "I'm not forcing myself on you, but i do want to help you in any way possible." He leaned over and kissed her lips lightly. "Take my words for this, I love you and I want to keep you safe. In order to do that I need your consent. Okay?" He asked lightly as he grabbed her hand and sat down next to her on the bed.

Mitsu giggled upon seeing the sleeping Riiya's eyes open slightly as they entered then thanked the maid as she left them alone once more. "My goodness, still sleeping love? Well I suppose you deserve it, I suppose I should have waited on the food matter." She added as she looked over at the tray. "No matter." She walked over to the bed and sat down next to Riiya, lightly so not to move the bed too much beneath her. She ran her hand over his face lightly as she moved away any stray hairs from it.

Kero blushed, "Of course, you know everything my dear, and you are wise because of it. I'll eat, and you're not forcing me at all, not one bit." She savored Tatsou's kiss and blushed slightly. Kero turned her head away cutely, trying to contain herself. It just felt so good being around him~! He's so handsome and kind. I can't believe it, I'm in love with a mage who is like...god-like powerful! I'm the only girl who has a chance with him. A clone who can't have kids and is an old, crinkly lady! So not man material! AH! I bet he's listening in on my thoughts right now! How sneaky...and cute!
Kero adorablely turned her head and glanced at Tatsou, and quickly turned it back away. She pulled her hand away from his and covered her mouth, she giggled and seemed to be in her own little world.
Better eat. She quickly stopped giggling, and without even turning to the food, she reached over and grabbed a sandwhich. Her back was towards Tatsou, and she was slightly hunched forward. Kero eyed the sandwhich, blessed it, and ate it slowly. Wow. His magic made the food taste better. He's really a casanova huh?
"Sexy." she randomly spat out.

Riiya opened his eyes slowly, he mumbled some gibberish and looked over at Mitsu. His eyes were still closed, "I can't open my eyes." He grinned and laughed a bit. "I don't know how long I'll stay awake... I better eat now. Ah! You brought food for me, thanks hon."

(I know!! Well have to speed it up after, they will prolly all fall asleep soon anyways..^^)
Tatsou smiled, "Good to know." He said as he watched her turn her back to him and started to think things about him, however they were clear as day to him, just as if she had spoken then. He stiffled his laughter as he grinned at her back, watching as she reached back without even turning to grab a sandwhich for herself. Sneaky huh? Aww love you are just too precious to think bad about yourself. Your perfect in everyway you know. He grinned more so as he waited for her to turn.
He happened to catch her and was still grinning like a fool as she did. However when she spoke out loud he couldn't contain his laughter. He chuckled, "Sexy now am I? Yes well I'd have to admit that's the first time I have heard and liked that." He intched closer to her and laced his arms around her waist. "Whose to say your not? However I'd rather the term beautiful beyond belief, but sexy may do you justice as well." He chuckled once more as he held her in a light hug.

Mitsu looked down at him and giggled, "Aww so cute. Here lemme help you. Though I don't know how you'll eat like that... but we'll make it work." She smiled as she picked up half of the sandwhich and brought it up to his mouth, "Say ahh." She grinned, as she tried her best to hold back her giggiling at thinking he was just so dam* cute. "I had the cook make you your favorites, so I hope it's alright, I have soda here too." She said as she had finally compossed herself from her giggiling.

"You're so old school," Kero said stuffing her face with another sandwhich. "Women these days don't call men 'beautiful' it's more of a girl thing now. We call men sexy, hott, adorable, hunky. Girls like to be called gorgeous, sexy, cute, adorable. I can just go on forever." She lauged lightly, and looked up at him, "Then again, I do like your terminology for describing me. It feels more sincere...and sweet."
Kero continued to look up at him, and absentmindedly stuffed another sandwhich into her mouth. She looked innocently at him, her eyes filled with joy and question.
This is going to be a long eternity huh?

Riiya refused at first. You may be my babe, I'm not going to say 'ahh'. That's so...so...kiss up. "AHHHHHH" Riiya said finally, blushing like mad. "Yu migh ahwell shuv iit in mah mouf'" Riiya said with his mouth still wide open.

"Is that so? I suppose I missed that memo." He winked at her, "However if you wish for me to call you such things then I have no problem with it." He paused to wonder if he'd be able to do so when for so long he had seemed old school as she put it. Knowing he grew up so very long ago, but there was always room for a change in pace too. He smiled, "Yes, perhaps I will stay with my old school and such. It feels more comfortable. Learning a new launguage comes easy for me, but having used such terms for so very long may be difficult to change up." He closed his eyes, Only if you want it to be hun. He then yawned and blinked open his eyes to continue to look down at her lovingly.
Mitsu giggled as Riiya actually did as she told him to. He looked awefull silly, but also very cute. She smiled as she placed the sandwhich in his mouth. "You know you didn't have to eat the whole thing in one bite. Not that I have anything wrong with feeding you, but perhaps you should go easy on the food intake at one time and all." She stiffled another giggle as she watched him with his puffed up cheeks trying to chew and swallow all at once. Readying his drink for when he finished.

"These are good," Riiya said after swallowing, "Reminds me of Mum." He weakly sat up for his drink. "Thank you love," he said sweetly.

Kero noticed Tatsou, "Are you getting tired? Rest if you are. I'm going to be here for quite awhile."

Maria called upon Kei from afar, "Kei dear, I would like to see you. Return to the Silver Mountains immediately. There is a job I want you and Kisime to do since you both are failing miserably on your quests." Her voice echoed within his mind and then left him.
In the onsen, Maria sat there in the steaming hot water. "Ahhh, so lovely," A servant came walking over and placed a drink down for her. He looked nervous and frightened.
"Don't worry, you're the disgusting kind. I won't eat you. Just go return to your filth and stay put until I need you again."
The servant nodded gratefully and backed away slowly.
