Foxy and Kaname

Foxy smiled, "I guess he got away then did he?" She asked sorta taunting him , but she knew it wasn'tright to hunt big prey alone. Especially with her size, she's be dead if she was trampled. Which made life tough for her at times, but she did what she would and she knew that was all that Kaname would ask from her. She looked up and sat down as he nudged the kill back towards her, "I suppose.." She said with a hint of sadness, but she pushed it away and started to munch on the kill. She finished and looked up, "You want me to hunt with you? But I was lucky to kill this never mind something big like a buck." She said with a bit of worry in her voice as he nuzzled her and told her he would show er some tricks. She was game, it sounded like fun. She stood up, "Okay..I guess it coulden't hurt then." She said watching flashbacks of the multiply times she tried to hunt in the past and ended up in a puddle because she coulden't do it. kaname seemed more tolerant of her now. Those harsh words he used to scold her with telling her it was just the way they were, worried her. But in the end he always forgave her, so now she wanted to repay him, pehaps it was just that, that made her stronger. Able to face the world, and proud of what she was. Or maybe she just hated to see him mad at her, either way it all worked out and hopefully she would make him proud.

Kaname snickered, "I'm gonna have fun with this hunt." He said, smiling at her. He got up and started to walk the way he came from before. He sniffed the air, trying to pick up a scent and once he did, he bounded for it. He knew that Foxy would keep up and if not, she would find him and stay close. He stopped again, smelling the air and see footprints. "This way." He said, bounding off again. He was in his hunting mode, but still kept his senses up for anything out of the ordinary. He wasn't about to let anything happen to Foxy cause of him being in the mood he was. He stopped, he saw the buck, and he wasn't alone this time. There was a doe and a faun. It was a family... He wasn't sure if he wanted to do this now, he knew how it went when you lost a family member, but this was natural, it was the way life was. He waited for Foxy and got low, waiting for the right time. He was wanting to show her how to go after one if it took off, which it would and it would only make things even worse, or rather harder. "We can test your skills on how fast you can run... And how strong you are. Try to go for the neck and don't go after the female or baby." He said, looking to her when she got here. He was glad she agreed on it, but would she be able to handle this type of life? He hoped so. He was going to let her go for the first kill, and if she got it, great, if not, then he would finish it off. He smiled, it was like old times, when he was with a good friend. They were the best hunters in the woods, until something happened. He shook it away, then he remembered what season it was. "Sh*t... It's hunting season for the humans." He whispered, keeping himself low to the ground and his voice as well. He sighed and listened for any humans out, there wasn't any signs. "Ok, it's safe... But keep your eyes out and your ears at full. I don't want anything happening." He said, looking to her, worry in his eyes. He tried to hide it, not wanting to worry her to much. He licked her cheek, letting her know it was ok and to go on ahead. "Make me proud sweetheart." He said. His eyes were watching the forest very carefully and her too.

Foxy's eyes grew as he mentioned how he was going to have fun, she nodded slowly as he bounded off. It took all she had to try and keep up but she was still lagging behind. She frowned but caught up to him, not bneeding to keep too low as the high grass hid her pretty well. She looked over it and noticed the buck and a femal and baby, she swalloed her pride and looked to Kaname to see what his plan was. She nodded slowly, attack the buck, but that thing was ten times her size, there would be no way to reach it's neck to take it down. She looked back to Kaname with doubt in her eyes as she toild her of the hunters. that made her worry now, how was she going to do this all without causing too much noise for the hunters to find them? She had already had enough with the hunters as is she never wanted to meet another. She shivered but pushed past it as she pricked her ears and got down low. She started to creep up on the deer keeping low and hidden in the grass while still listening out for any other movement or smells. Hunting proved to be difficult in that matter now. How was she going to do this? Sh sighed before bounding off, picking up her speed and aiming straight for the buck's neck. Once she got there she pounced, but it wasn't enough force to knock him down. Instead she started to flail around as the other two fled, sheheld onas her teeth dug into the thing's neck. But even that wasn't enough. She started to worry for her sake, if this thing were to kick her it would knock her out. She frowned but then srabbled at the side of it. She dug in her claws into it's side and heard it yelp in pain. She closed her eyes and shut off the sound. before putting all her force into it and slamming her weight into it. The buck fell to it's side and Foxy took no time in killing it, she collapsed to the side of the buck trying to catch her breath as she waited for Kaname to come over. She had her eyes closed but you could tell she was alive, hopefully Kaname woulden't be worried.

Kaname watched, he saw that the doe and faun took off, but the buck was down in a matter of minutes. He grinned, she did really will for her first big kill. He got up and trotted to it, she sniffed it, poked it with his nose, making sure it was dead. He went to Foxy and smiled, " Very well done sweetheart." He said softly, licking her cheek. You could see the blood on her jaw, he licked it off. Now he had to get this thing out of here before a hunter saw them and wanted them for food. They weren't hunters for werewolves, but there were more than willing to take one of his size. He was a bit bigger than a normal wolf and he was all white. "Ok, are you ok to walk and such? I know you're tired and a bit out of breath, but I need to get the kill out of here and to a place I know that's safe." He said lightly, keeping his voice low. He heard a twig crack, his head went up and he's ears were perked. He started to growl, "Get behind me..." He growled. He wasn't mad at her, he was just upset with him. He should've thought about this before he acted on it. Once Foxy got behind him a wolf stepped out, he was pretty beaten up. "I'm not here for the girl... Only asking if I could... Well... Maybe have some of your kill." He said, staying his distance, not wanting to get into another fight. Kaname kept his guard up, but he stopped growling and looked him over. "What happened? Wolves or hunters?" He asked, not saying anything about sharing at the moment. "Wolves, they are... There is less and less prey in this area. We have been running around, trying to find it and end up empty. But then when we do find something, we fight, and I happen to be the one to lose." He said, licking his chops as he stared at the buck laying there. "Hmm, well... feel free to have some, but tell no one you saw us, and keep it. I'll hunt another day." He said, picking Foxy up by the scruff and carrying her out of the site of this guy. "Lets go." He mumbled.

Foxy opened one eye to look up at him, she grinned before blushing when he licked her jaw. She rolled to her side and let out a deep breath before she stood up, "I think so." She said before standing up, she wobbled a bit before she jumped behind Kaname. She shivered and almost fell losing her balance but she caught herself as she peered around him to see another wolf. He was pretty beat up and he wanted something to eat. She popped back behind him before he could get a good look at her. She waited for only a few seconds before she was being lifted from the ground and brought away from the kill. She looked up to lick his jaw, "Kaname, that was nice of you, but now what will you eat?" She asked as she swung in the air she felt bad for the wolf. But she also felt bad for Kaname, maybe Turner would have something in mind. "Let's go back to the house, kay?" She asked, she watched the trees as they...Kaname walked past them. She frowned slightly as she tried to look back wondering if the wolf would keep his word on not telling anyone. What if they came after them next? With Mother Nature so close, she didn't think she would like that. Should she telll her though? She would hate to upset her, now that she was so close to being back to normal and all.

After he got a ways away, he let her down so she can walk. "I'm sorry... I wish I knew more that was going on in the world." He said, walking back to the house. He was thinking that maybe he should tell Lady Melanie about this, but would she act on it? Others were suffering because of the hunters and people over killing. His stomach growled, he moaned. "Man, and you did so good on that kill. I was proud and looking forward to eating it. But I didn't want trouble, and he seemed like he was going to keep his word." He said, looking back, making sure no one was following him. "I'll find something small to hold me for a bit, like a rabbit or something." He said, smiling at her, making sure she knew he was ok and such. He found it weird that wolves were fighting over food, instead of helping each other on it. He remembered being in a pack and how they worked together, until a hunt went horribly wrong. He shook it away, "We should tell Lady Melanie.. Even though she is having a good time again. It's her Earth, and I want to figure out why he looked the way he was and why they are fighting. Packs normally don't act like that... Not over food." He said, looking to her. He stopped and licked her cheek. "I love you Foxy." He said softly, giving her a small smile.

Foxy looked up at him as he set her down and they started to walk again, "It's not your fault you know, your not supposed to know everything." She said walking over to lick his side affectionately. "I still love you even if your not a know it all." She giggled, "I know but that wolf looked like he needed it, I'm sure the doctor has something that you can eat. He has to look normal too... it's only natural he would have something." She said tilting her head in wonder of what that something would be. She nodded after a while then looked back at him, "Okay, but just don't starve yourself." She said with a small smile. "I was thinking the same thing, I hate to bother her with the mattter but she does need to know about it. It is very weird that packs would be fighting when the food is so scarce.." She closed her eyes and sighed before opening them, "I wonder why that is anyways.. you think some other force is taking over the area?" She asked growing curious now, maybe Mother Nature would know a thing or two on the matter. She would know whats around and if there's anything wrong. Foxy blushed as she felt Kaname lick her cheek, she looked up at him and smiled, "I love you too." She leaned up to lick his cheek in return.

He smiled when she licked him back. "I think she will do something about it... At least I hope she will." He said, almost having doubt. "Have you been in a pack?" He asked, then shaking his head. That was a stupid question, she was still young and came to him when she was only a pup. He sighed, "Don't answer that, I already know. Ok, so normally a pack helps each other when they need food, not fight over it. I've been in a pack, many years ago. I haven't heard anything like this before, and I haven't found it hard to find food.." He said, trailing off. He was wanting to know what was going on with all of these wolves. Even though most of them were normal wolves and some were werewolves, it was still wrong to kill each other for food. "They shouldnt' be killing their own kind, they'll die out, and it means we would have trouble on our breed too." He said, thinking of everything that migh happen if that happened. They would have to watch there backs more then they do now. It would be even harder to have and raise a family if they wanted one. He sighed, "Lets talk to Melanie before my mind goes crazy with ideas." He said, walking and looking around, watching everything that moved. He didn't like this, it made him uneasy again. He thought they could have fun again, not worry about to much, but he got over his head, way over his head.

Foxy nodded, "She should, it's her life..welll sorta." She said and giggled, she was the Earth...so to speak anyways. She shook her head when he asked the question of the pack, then stopped, when he corrected himself. She could tell he was overthinking this and she had to calm him down. She only spoke when he stopped though, "Kaname.. maybe your just being a bit..well.. paranoid?" She asked as she watched him walk away from her and look around like he was expecting something to jump from the bushes or what not. She frowned but walked over to nuzzle his side, "Relax, when we get back we'll tell her about what we found out and help he with it if we have to. Things just started to be normal again, I would hate to have to run from my shadow." She said as her voice grew softer but she shook it away, she was going to be strong. Not only for Kaname but for herself too, to prove she could be strong in any type of situation.

He looked at her, maybe she was right, maybe I am paranoid. He shook his head and took a deep breath, "Maybe you're right.. I'll try to relax." He said, nuzzling her back. "We will speak to her and let her know, if nothing is wrong, then I'll back off." He said, giving her a reassuring smile. He didn't want it to change, it was nice to have things kind of back to normal. He sighed, "It would suck if things went to fighting and getting hurt and then bed rest again. I hate bed rest. I rather fight and deal with the wounds then sit around and do nothing all gosh d*mn day." He said, looking around again. He wasn't sure why, but he did, like something was going to come out and attack him or Foxy.

Foxy sighed, "I guess that's the best I can hope for. But if you must know I worry about you when you have that attitude. Kaname.. I don't want to lose you.. not again, not ever." She said looking up at him with sad eyes, "I'm not going to break down again though, I want to be strong for your sake but I know for a fact that If I were ever in a battle I would be useless. That deer could have killed me.. and yet you had faith in me. Sometimes I just don't understand you." She nuzzled his side again, "Can we just go back and spend some time together?" She asked knowing he wanted to find out more on the subject, but she wanted her normal, carefree Kaname back. Not this disstracted, ready to kill one. She frowned but licked his side, "We haven't had time to just relax together.." She added after a second with her cute smile, she knew deep down that's all he wanted too.

Kaname smiled when she nuzzled into him, "Yes, I want to spend time with you too. It has been to long." He said, nuzzling her back and licking her side. She was cute when she was gentle and soft. "Strong... I've been through a lot. And I've caused most of it... I wish I thought twice on that one, but she would have lost herself if I didn't do something for her loved one. And I came back, maybe some bite wounds but I'm ok." He said, giving her a charming smile. He looked at her, not listening to the things around him nor watching for things, he just wanted to look at her for a bit, "I was proud, it show that even though you are small, you can still get around and do things that I can do. I wanted you to see that, and others if you have to show them one day." He said, but as soon as he got done, a pack of wolves came out of the bushes and weeds. They had hunger in there eyes and they were snarling. "Aw, how cute.. It's a pup. Not much, but something we can use." A black one said, he seemed to be the head of the pack, but it also looked like a trick, like they wanted them to think he was. Kaname put himself in between them and Foxy. "So, you guys have finally lost your minds. Letting hunger get to you instead of just trying to help each other out. It's sad... I thought better of our breed." He growled to them. He watched each and every one of them, like a human picking out a pup to take home. "You can leave now and keep your heads or you can stay and regret it." He snarled to them, getting p*sssed that they would go this low. He had lived her for years and seen them run all of the time, and time to time he would help them out on things, but now they have turned into monsters, it degusted him. "We just want food, there isn't much out here anymore, packs are leaving and some are staying." The black on said. You could hear the hunger in his voice, like he was ready to attack and any moment. "I don't think I agree with you. There is plenty, you just have to work in a PACK to find it. You of all people should know. And were is your leader?" Kaname said, looking at all of them, not spotting her anywhere. "Did you kill her to? Or was she smart and took the pack that wanted to stay with her to hunt for food?" He asked, slightly growling. Some of the wolves looked ashamed of there selves, like they made a mistake. Kaname was happy inside, he was getting to them, maybe enough so they will back down and maybe go find their true leader.

Foxy smiled, she was glad that he finally chose to pay attention to her for once. He seemed so distracted that it bothered her, but before she could say anymore a somewhat ragged looking "pack" came out of the forest behind Kaname. Her eyes grew wide, she was glad she had time to spend with Kaname and show him that she was strong enough, but if this came out to a fight, she may have no choice but to help. Indeed she wasn't happy to begin with. She glared at the mock leader as she backed up a step just as Kaname stood inbetween her and them. She held a growl deep within her, 'call me a pup.' She growled glaring at him now as the "leader" spoke to Kaname. She let her eyes wander about the group before stepping up next to Kaname. "You'd be foolish to kill off your own pack members. Don't you know of the humans? They take any chance they could get to pick you off if your caught wandering alone." She growled, not sure where this random outburst of courage had come from. but she somewhat liked it, clearly her shy and timid side wasn't going to work in here and wasn't going to give Kaname a backup. She had to be strong and she would show it too if she had to.

Kaname looked to Foxy when she stepped up to him and started to speak. He was somewhat upset, but happy she was finally sticking out. It kind of reminded him of himself, when he was a pup. "How are you to know. I bet you haven't even seen a hunter!" The "leader" snarled. "Back off! She's seen more than you have! I know what you are made of.. And it's not much PUP!" Kaname snarled, taking a step closer to him. His teeth were baring and he was ready to snap. "Leave now or regret it. I can take you all down if I have to. And she's not as small as you think, she's got more bite than half of you b*stards do!" He growled, trying to get to them. Some took a step down, they had seen Kaname around these parts before and never tried to mess with him before, but others had there mind set on taking him down. "No.. she's off on her own, not wanting to fight you." He said, a slight growl in his voice. Kaname snorted, he shook his head, he was still degusted, "You're low... If you want food, then go hunt for it, don't pick off your own kind. And there are hunters around, they are looking for good game." He said, perking his ears up, listening to the whispers of the rest of the pack. All but four left, and that included the black one. "Cowards!" He called to them, getting nervous. Kaname smirked and could smell the fear in the wolf. He was ready for this, but he hoped it didn't break out into a fight, he was hoping to get to their minds.

Foxy stood her ground, the low growl eminatting louder still. She was glaring at the mock "leader" And never wavered, she wasn't about to lose to this fool. Nor was she going to allow Kaname to fight alone shall it happen to go that way. She would prove her strength and make them cower. She paused in her thinking, there goes her innocent sweet self. She shook her head, it didn't matter as of this moment, all that mattered now was Kaname and fending of this so called pack. Though Kaname continued to bring up the real leader.. a female. How did he know so much about them? She closed her eyes for a second as Kaname defended her she opened them with a slight smirk seeing as most of them have left. they would still be outnumbered.. but there were better odds of actually coming out of this one alive. She just wished they would all disappear so that her and Kaname could be alone again.. time alone seemed to be so far out of reach. She looked back to the "leader" and growled a bit more, "First time appearences mean absolutely nothing until you get to know them. You are clearly unable to grasp that matter as you are so high in the clouds." She snapped with vicious eyes. She nhad a feeling she probably wasn't helping, but with the way Kaname was talking it would probably fend them off.. all but the leader anyways. Or so she hoped.
