Rei raised an eyebrow. Its no problem, mi-- I mean, Sheryl. He smiled, revealing a set of dazzling white teeth. However, the sooner it appeared, the sooner it disappeared. He sighed, turning his cool blue gaze from her. They focused first on the menu, then on a booth to his left. He frowned, scrunching up his nose in disapproval. Hmph... Rei said indifferently, shaking his head of brunette hair. Strands fell in front of his face as he turned to look back at Sheryl. So... why were you out there all alone? Its... He couldn't say it was dangerous. Not in Forks. Nothing was dangerous here... Uhm... Its... Not safe at night... In your condition, you could have ran into a pole... d**n... Stupid gay lines... He cussed under his breath.

Sheryl tilted her head as his smile disappeared very quickly. That made her curious as to why he did it. If he didn't wish to smile, why did he in the first place? The owner came over and handed the mage her normal cup of cocoa. She hated coffee. Funny, she's in a shop. She waited to see if he would order anything. His question made her smile faintly. His continuation of the sentence made it brighter. "I am a big girl. I just... i don't know. Can't say i was thinking straight. I didn't believe i would run into a pole." She laughed softly and brushed the hair from her face and shoulders. "Do you normally come to the rescue of girls?"

Rei turned his face away. I guess you could say that... he answered slowly. His gaze flickered briefly up to the owner, where he returned with a tiny smile. I'll just have... er... You know, I don't need anything... He frowned at the stupidity of his answer. He turned back to Sheryl, but his blue eyes didn't meet her gaze. I guess I wasn't thinking straight when I stopped you either. Just... thought I would be kind and stop you before you hurt yourself. I dunno... The smile on Rei's face brightened just slightly.
The fact that a girl would be left alone on an empty street... disturbed me, I guess you could say. I found it... in my better nature to ask if you were okay. So, why do you ask? Would you have rather me have ignored your presence and gone into this shop alone? I don't think I would have survived in such a big place... by myself, I mean. He let out a gentle chuckle. The owner left and Sheryl laughed softly. Her hands warming up on the cup in front of her. "I ask simply because most people ignore me. Even in this small town. It's a defensive mechanism. It's too keep those that would hurt me away. Yet, here you are. I was crying. Most people stay away from a crying person. In this day and age, it is odd to be approached. Please do not misunderstand me." She reached out and touched his hand briefly. Not for long. "I appreciate it. I haven't found many people to speak to besides Anne." She looked down, hiding the blush on her cheeks. Her attire was far too formal for this place. Now, she was regretting it. She just wished to be in normal clothes.

Rei chuckled, which turned into a booming laughter. People looked at him, some gazing in wonder while others glowered in anger. His face was bright, his tan sticking out more than ever against his shining teeth. And you think you are ignored. Most people think twice about approaching me, let alone come to a coffee place with me. The heat burned from his body at a faster pace as he tried his best to calm himself down, stop his hysterics.
Rei frowned suddenly, but anyone could see the edge of his lips try and twitch upward into that foolish lopsided grin. Besides, I wouldn't ignore a crying girl. Not this pretty. Never. [/blockquote]

Sheryl jumped when he began to laugh. She looked around the place as everyone else stared. His laughter was contageiou and she smiled despite the blush on her cheeks. She tilted her head as she folded her hands on the table. "That is simply because of what you are." She made sure to say that after everyone had gone back to their buisness and he wasn't so loud. "Not that i know what exactly that is but i know you are not human. And well, i'm hardly frightened of you. More like drawn, i suppose. Since i didn't end up hitting you with a spell."
Her lips curved to her classic half smile. It was playful and a bit mysterious. No one knew what it meant. "This pretty? Thank you for the compliment. I do hope that i didn't disturb your evening."
