[glow=red,2,300] Ralph continued to rip at the meat for a few minutes. When he swallowed again, he looked out the window, a sudden deep thought overwhelming him. "I just hope dad isn't there," he said, staring out, "Whenever he is, Ryan and him go at it. They hate each other with a passion. And Ryan always ends up getting hurt and making Alice upset. But he refuses to stop."
By now, Ralph returned to his normal human form and sighed, pushing the raw meat away. He wasn't in the mood for eating now that he was thinking about it. "The last time they fought, Ryan almost died."[/glow]

Holland nodded a bit still watching him before he spoke in a somewhat soft voice, "Well, that could be a problem, huh, if there's ever a thing I could do to help, let me know?" he offered with a warm smile. There he went again, being mister nice guy. Didn't it seem odd that a demon was as nice as a human? No. Not when you've raised yourself around them.

[glow=red,2,300] Ralph looked at Holland as if he had just suggested he was able to teach fish to dance the macerina. "I doubt you could be any help when it took my brother Zak and I in lion form to get our father off of Ryan last time," Ralph said, not meaning to be rude, "He was bleeding badly that last time. Our father isn't someone to cross, even I don't cross him. He's got a anger management problem and he'll take it out on the first person who provokes him.
"Which is usually always Ryan anyway." Ralph sighed, "I know he hates Ryan and he like my other brother Zak, but I'm not sure how he feels about me. Not that I really care, I've never wanted his attention. It seemed like too much trouble to try and get it." He stopped himself, and hung his head, "Sorry, I was rambling again. I tend to do that since I travel alone. Thanks for the offer though, but I wouldn't want you to get hurt. He's pretty violent when he fights."[/glow]

Holland nodded, still watching the man as another thing pops into his head, "Then at least allow me to make my house a place to get away from your father? I'm not trying to push, but from your point of view it seems he's quite the demon." A grin flashed over his lips at the comparasin he made, he being a demon himself.

Holland stepped over to Ralph and offered him a warm smile as he hung his head, "It's quite alright, I like listening to others talk." he assured him as he stood next to him in the scilence that followed after his words.

[glow=red,2,300] Ralph smiled and shook his head at Holland's comparison. He looked at Holland, "That'd be nice. I could pop up once in a while. It'd be a safer place for Ryan too. He'd hate it but we could always tie him up to a chair and leave him here." He chuckled, "If you don't mind." Of course he was joking. Unless you count that one time when he and Zak actually did to that and left Ryan in some stranger's house. Let's just say they couldn't sit down for a week when their mother was done with them.[/glow]

Holland nodded a bit, "Wouldn't mind at all." Mind? Hell no! Holland would be thrilled to have another person in his home. The young demon glanced at the plate that had little of the meat on it still, and he had to hold back his urge to go and clean it up.

Holland looked up at Ralph with a genuine smile befroe he blinked and looked at teh clock, "Crap! I- I haven't done anything on the gardens and it's getting late!" He sighed and slumped forward a bit.. "Aww and I was going to take the day off tomorrow, too..." There went his plans to go walking through the town.

[glow=red,2,300] Ralph smiled, "Glad you don't." He finished the little bit of meat he had left. Holland's outburst surprised Ralph. "Your gonna get in trouble?" he asked, confused. He was pretty sure that Holland had said something about it before but he couldn't rightly remember. "I could help if you want," Ralph offered, "I figure that you helped me out so I should do the same. Just say the word buddy."[/glow]

Holland spazzed out for a little while longer before he nodded, "Taking care of the Gardens is my rent. She comes to Inspect them in two days," he muttered before he ran a hand through his hair. Holland looked up at Ralph as he offered to help him, it wasn't like the isolated oy to take help from others. He offered it when he could though. But he needed it now and smiled, "That'd be great!" he looked outside with a sigh, the sun was low i nthe sky, "Tomorrow though, It's much too late to work on the plants now."

[glow=red,2,300] Ralph nodded, standing up and stretching. He added a yawn to it before talking, "Then I'll see ya tomorrow then." Ralph's form changed before Holland's eyes and he became wolf again. "Don't worry about me," he added, "I'm use to sleeping in the wilderness, so I'll be fine. I'll just find a comfy leaf nest to sleep on."[/glow]

Holland shook his head quickly, "No way! You can sleep in my guest room tonight." he walked over to the wolf and patted his head, before he lightly tugged on one of his ears, jsut to make sure they were real. "I really don't like the thought of my friends are out sleeping in the leaves."

[glow=red,2,300] Ralph cocked his head curiously. It wasn't a big deal for him to sleep outside. He was very use to it. But he wasn't going to argue if a warm bed presented itself to him. "Okay then, I'll sleep here." he said, shaking his head as Holland pulled at his ears.[/glow]

Holland smiled, pulling his hand away form the ear he had tugged on, "And while you're going to be sleeping here, why not have a bath, too?" he grined as he spoke, loving to help out like he was. Unlike his parents who were savage. Holland moved a bit toward the shadows, a light swithc being fliped by an unseen hand, and the light that lead up the stairs flickered on to show them, "You can use some ofm y clothes to sleep in."

[glow=red,2,300] "That's really nice of you," was all that Ralph was able to say at the moment. He had never been treated this nicely by anyone before. Sometimes a nod or a handshake. If he was lucky, an introduction and really lucky, a girl's phone number. But never had he been taken in to another person's house, a stranger, and treated as if he'd always lived there. It seemed sort of weird to him; like something your parents would tell you not to do but he wasn't going to jinx his luck. He nodded to himself, content that he had a friend at least.
He could tell he and Holland were going to get along just fine. The sudden heave of the front door scared Ralph right out of his fur. His fur raised and he bared his fangs at the pounding door; unsure of what to expect. It continued for a while and then suddenly stopped. "Uh, you don't happen to live near any dangerous animals do you?" he asked. But he didn't get his answer for at that moment, the door bust down and flew across the room, hitting the opposite wall. A white tiger on hind legs looked furiously at them both; it's hazel eyes boring into them.
It got down on all fours, prowling into the room. It's side heaved as a open wound showed. Whether it got that from the door or a fight over dominance or whatever was not known to anyone but one thing was for sure, it was angry. Ralph stayed tense as the huge five foot eleven cat paced, growling angrily from the pain of it's scar. Ralph hoped he'd have enough strength to pull it down if it attacked or it would realize that it was in the wrong place and just leave.

Holland watched the tiger blow off the door, his land lady would not like that. "Uhh, R- ralph. . ? Who i- is that?" he asked as the boy back into the wall, staying out og the tigers way. Though something in the back of his head said it was a family memeber of Ralphs. Holland put a hand on his dagger, if the need be he could sub-due the beast in his house and maybe fix up the wound?

The boy just watched the animals as he ran through ideas in his head. This was extreamly new to him and he was somwhat glad for that. His life was starting to get boring.

[glow=red,2,300] The tiger continued to pace, continued to growl; but it didn't attack. Ralph calmed down and he could now smell his little brother's scent. Ryan's scent. Of course!, he thought hitting himself in the forehead. He should've known. There are no white tiger's out in the forest. Ralph felt sort of stupid now. "Ryan!" he shouted out, though not daring to get any closer.
The tiger looked at him with a strange face, as if trying to put how a wolf could talk into scientific terms. It seemed to get the painful sore out of his mind for a minute. He sat down, then just flopped to the ground, tired. It was kind of a blur to him. He remembered fighting, then leaving, then smelling Ralph and then just going stark crazy and busting down the door.
He knew he should probably be ashamed but he had to admit. That was about as entertaining as his life has gotten in the years that he'd been living it. "Yeah, it's me," he replied, curling up, "Tell the owner of the house I'm sorry about their door." "Why don't you do it yourself?" Ralph said, nodding towards Holland. "He heard me."[/glow]
