Ikovi smiled, taunting her worked so well "Yes well you don't seem to be the shining star today. At any rate you should get some rast, don't want to overdo it" continued Ikovi, gestureing at Cherie before turning his head and spitting out some more blood "Yeah don't push yourself too hard, after all there's no way you could have beaten Salanim anyway" Ikovi waved his hand and limped over the circle of wounded near his Manor and knelt down to see what he could still do.
Lichen let out a low gorwl of relief as the first piece of shrapnel was pulled from his chest, not even notice the pain from Hanako digging her fingers into his wound "Hanako, hurry up, I can't hold out much longer" said Lichen as the temporary relief faded.
How did this happen? How did that bastard almost kill me? I should be able to kill any vampire, let alone humans, how is that nut case able to fight so d**n well. I knew he had killed a lot of vampires, but I always thought that it was because of his gun, but no, he took me with his bare hands and overpowered me! Me of all people! There is something wrong with him, no human should be that strong...
Salanim stirred, the smell of blood was thick in the grass he was laying in, he stuck out his tongue and tasted it, it was vampire blood alright, so it hadn't been another of his dreams, that was good. Salanim looked up from the grass and for a moment he had that deadly unamused gaze that he had had when he had lost it, but it quickly faded when he saw there was no more fighting going on. His expression lightened and he gave his usual smiled and rolled onto his back.
"Ouch, brother, your shot me!"

Katsumi paused at Cherie's touch as she held her chest, "No... don't worry about me I'm fine really." She said as she looked around at all of the fallen, "I need to help you, they don't heal like we do." She stumbled as Cherie left her side and sighed, Ikovi was now at her for being up and about when she should rest, but shall she rest would she not be a quitter? Who was she kidding, she'd take advantage of the situation and call it quits, just for today anyways.
"Yes well, I'll help get one inside and rest, alright... so you two worry no more." She sighed as she reached down to a better looking soldier and started to place his arm around her shoulder, though she grimmaced as she lifted him. Having his weight and her own on her injury wasn't helping heal it one bit. She closed her eyes for a moment and took in a sharp breath, "Oww." She growled as she started back to the manor regardless, taking it slow. She made it back, but nearly collapsed as she reached the doorway.

"Lichen hang on... I'll do what I can." She grimmaced as her hand touched yet another shard of silver as she flung it from his body. "I'm going to remove your shirt, it's in bits anyways, but I can't get anything else with all of the extra fabric blocking my path." She didn't wait as she did so and turned him around lightly, reaching and tossing eery piece she could pinpoint. She looked him over after a moment, "Aside from looking like a mess, I think I've gotten all of them." She ended in a whisper as her eyes were flickering from red to her normal color. She looked away and closed them, feeling almost sick to her stomach at seeing so much blood.

Lichen gave a low groan and fell back onto the grass breathing deep as relief coursed through him "T-thank you" he said as he tried to stand, I would really like to go back there and fight that Salanim creature again, but he might really kill me this time "Hanako, where is the rest of the clan?"
Ikovi tightly closed his eyes pointed his face at the now starry sky, d**nit I don't even have enough power left to suppress this pain, I need to start wearing Kevlar... Oh and look who gave up despite my taunting, oh well I think that everyone is in stable condition now anyway. Ikovi sat down on the wet grass, the blood was diluting now with the night dew. I could just fall asleep right here... thought Ikovi as he slowly leaned back onto the grass...

(I know, I wonder what happened to her, she's prolly just grounded or lost her comp or something of the sort. I'll join in anyways, Katsumi is pretty much asleep and Hanako and Lichen can go on.)
Katsumi made it back to her room and collapsed onto the bed, she knew she needed to dress her wounds but right about now it hurt just to breath. Somehow she managed to stiffle her breathing to just as much as she needed and fell asleep. Hopefully her body would take over, the sheets and bedspread soaking up her blood that continued to spill out of the slowly healing wound. Her tired state was doing no good to speed up things, so she figured sleeping was the best way to accomplish such thing, and she did just that.
Hanako was still looking away but nodded a small nod. She stirred when she heard him moving and watched as he tried to stand. She grabbed him and held him back though. "You mustn't move in your state Lichen." her voice was soft as she fought back her hungry looking eyes. "I'm not sure where the rest are, some fell in the battle, I think some may have escaped though, but I don't know for sure" she paused, "You want mne to go ahead to make sure the place is clear? I think you need to stay put and rest here for the night, we have come far enough away that our scent should be masked in all of this blood shed." Not to mention I'm going to be sick if I don't get some fresh air. I love Lichen and all, but this is just gut wrenching, I need to move. She bit her lip as she waited on his response.

Lichen tugged hismelf with great effort from her grasp and stood, shaking back his now lank blood soaked hair giving exausted growl as he did so "No if we make another strike now they won't expect it, we can win, I'm not about to let that Salanim..." the suddenly Lichen realized, he had barely snatched Salanim, sure he had decimated Ikovi's main forces and his stragey would've worked otherwise.
However Salanim was still alive, and for the most part well, he on the other hand was barely standing. Lichen closed his fist, sending spikes of pain up through his arm as dozens of tiny bullet wounds were disturbed by the tensing of his muscles. He bared his teeth at the pain, no, Ikovi's clan, or familly or whatever the humans called it was decimated, but invincible as long as Salanim lived.
"No you're right we should return..." Lichen opened his fist slightly and closed his eyes, but you Salanim have made a deadly new foe, since I live it is now my life goal to kill you....

Hanako was just about to stop him again when he realized what he had been sayiong and agreed to go back. However she realized then that it wouldn't be easy to get him back. He was still losing blood rapidly and wouldn't heal unless he was laying down and resting. She bit her lip, what now?
After a bit of thought she stood and wrapped Lichen's arm around her shoulder gently, "Lean on me... I'll help you get back. Though your in no state to be moving in the first place." her voice was but a whisper but full of concern. "Please Lichen, forget about that for now. You need rest and to recooperate. I refuse to let you go back there until you are rested." She kissed his cheek gingerly.
At this time feeling further away from him then she ever had, even though they were so very close. He always seemed to hide things from her, but this seemed to be the greatest mystery of all. What did he have against those men? And what did that devil know that she doesn't? Could it have to do with those two men, she seemed persistant in telling them that she was a sister of them or something, she really hadn't been listening as she knew it wasn't the truth.

"Yes, thank you Hanako, but I will not rest long, those two will pay for what they have done to my people" said Lichen, seeming to forget that it was his 'people' who had attacked Ikovi's people in the first place, but that was acceptable given the conditions.
