"S-sorry brother, I didn't mean it like that, why are you so angry?" asked Salnim sounding a bit pained as Ikovi strode up to him wincing as he shifted his shifted his M110 in his arm turning the stock of it to face Salanim's forehead.
"Oh just shut up already!" said Ikovi as he slammed the rubber recoil stock into Salanim's forehead, knocking him unconscious "take him to the infirm-" Ikovi paused, looking around, the grass was wet with nightfall dew and blood, bodies were scattered everywhere amongst broken swords and bullet holes "Ary... Scratch that, if your still alive, help me get the wounded inside..." said Ikovi crestfallen, mainly because the people who came under the title of 'still alive' came out to be eight...
Not good, I'm wounded like hell, I can feel all the internal bleeding from my fight with Lichen, and all of my power is gone, not to mention the armory is trashed, and thats where I keep all my medical stuff. Katsumi's either dead or out of it for awhile, and I've got a total of two soldiers unwounded, four with mild injuries, and two barely standing. Ikovi gritted his teeth as he looked around at his company. I don't know how many people are unconscious either, those are the people I might not be able to save, not when I have no power left...
"N-no, listen, you should... Ah never mind, it looks lie that was Lichens entire fighting force, Lichen is dead, there's no way he could've survived all those wounds and draining his power like that, and Salanim will want to kill Hanako himself, I can at least give him that. It's pointless to go after anyone right now, can you help me... Sort the dead from the living?"

"Me?" asked Vira annoyed that he still didn't answer her. "What about Hanako?" she shook her head.
"Whatever, I'll let Cherie take care of this." Vira suddenly left Cherie, resulting into her returning to her little form. Cherie held her head for a second and looked around, there were dead and wounded men around her. Then there was a 'dead' vampire before her and Ikovi.
"Ikovi! W-wha, what happened?" she looked around anxiously, and looked down at herself; she was covered in blood, but there were no wounds.
"Oh...I see, Lichen. I'm up to speed now. Do you want me to help you Uncle?" She noticed Katsumi half-dead near the wall.
"MS.KATSUMI!" she cried, she quickly fluttered over to her and began to heal her.
"Why didn't Vira help you? She's so useless at times!"

Katsumi looked up at the frantic voice, she was left slumped down the side of the wall once more, too weak to hold herself even propped up on the wall. She sighed, "Dam* bloodsuckers." She growled as she allowed Cherie to heal her. "I couldn't stop her, why not!" She mumbled something unheard under her breath as she looked away, anger still creasing her face. "Cherie..." She paused then sighed, "I thank you for your kind gesture of healing me. I never did gain that knowledge of healing myself more so than my body already does. However I can feel one maybe two broken ribs, not to mention the bruise that must be huge on my back from that idiot." She frowned, "You think you can help me stand?" She asked looking into her face that seemed very concentrated in healing her.
Hanako cursed herself for being so stupid. She needed to return to Lichen's side no matter the cost. This was obviously a sign that she had done something wrong. She stood up, steadied herself against the tree that had made her fall in the first place and turned. Bursting through the trees with a newfound speed. "I'm coming Lichen hold on." She whispered as she ran through the trees. Making wonderful time as she skidded to a halt smelling the mixture of vampire and human blood. She peered around a tree keeping hidden, "Lichen... where are you.." She mumbled quietly searching the area until her eyes laid on him, his body looked worse than lifeless and she bit her lip. He was in the middle of everything, how in the world was she going to save him now? She shook it off as well as the tears that threatened to fall seeing his body laying there.
Looking around she spotted a fallen comrade and stripped him of his cloak. "Sorry I couldn't save you." She whispered laying a light hand on the man's cold cheek. She threw the cloak around herself and placed the hood up, she was obvious in the disguise, however it was the best she had. She walked into the fury of it all and walked right over to Lichen, placing a hand over his heart and hoping to feel warmth. Instead she felt cold, a cold that seemed to never end. "No... Lichen no..." She whispered as tears came and fell, leaving circles on Lichen's uniformed body. "I'll get you out of here." She added as she lifted his body with some obvious effort and placed his arm around her shoulders. It was only a matter of time until she was found out.

((Bella, actually Lichen ran away, he was in the woods...))
Ikovi sighed, only slightly releived that Katsumi was, in fact, still alive, and keeled down by the neared body. There were several swrod cuts on his face and even more stab wounds scattered across the rest of his body, Ikovi checked his pulse, he was gone. Ikovi had known the man was dead before he had checked his pulse but he still wanted to believe that he had still been alive, that one less person had died here today, but nonetheless Ikovi wrapped his fingers around the pair of dog tags hanging from a beaded wire around the mans neck and broke the chain, placing the tags in his pocket.
Ikovi moved to the next body and pulled even more tags from the deceased as he moved on his morose journey around his once so secure grounds...

"Y-you're welcome Ms.Katsumi!" she clasped Katsumi's hands and continued to heal her. "Does this mean...we're friends?" Cherie couldn't help but to get excited by Katsumi's graditude[sp? I'm off today...].
"There! All done, just rest easy a bit and don't move...okay?" she got up and ran over to Ikovi who was checking the dead. "Uncle!" she called out worriedly, "Are there any survivors? I can help heal them if you want? I, I know I've been a burden to you, but I want to help you out. You're still injured I can see, so I want you to take a rest so you can get better!" Cherie pumped her little fists in the air to show her determination of doing her best in helping him.

In a distant, dream-like trance Lichen felt himself being moved, it could either be something worse, or something better, Hanako, or her brother. Lichen hoped to god it was Hanako. He needed to feed, and right now...
Ikovi startled as the soldier he had about to pull more tags from convulsed and gave a bloody cough, a slight trickle of the liquid running from the corner of his mouth. Ha! One gets to see another day!. Ikovi rolled up his sleeve and pressed his palm quickly against his chest, seeking out his wounds with his power and healing them. But that didn't happen. Instead a blinding stab of pain shot up his arm, forcing it's way into his mind and shutting off the open valve from which nothing was flowing.
Ikovi drew back his hand and gritted his teeth, d**nit! Why now?! Why must the one power I have that helps people leave me when I need it!? d**n, this isn't the first time I haven't had the power to save the people who should've lived instead of me...
Ikovi closed his eyes, feeling just the tinies amount of tear forming on the tips of his pressed eyelids. An image flashed before his eyes, one where he was running away, as a boy, while he was saved by an old man as a barrage of bullets tore him to pieces. Ikovi closed his fist and opened his eyes again, he wouldn't remember, he couldn't bring back the dead.
I'm sorry, what were you saying there?" said Ikovi, not looking up from the barely living man before him.

Hanako struggled to get her footing as she half carried but more or not dragged Lichen to their safe place. Glad to see she was alone and no one had heard her. Getting away always seemed like the hard part now a days. Either way she just wanted to be back in their safe place. She only hoped Lichen would make it. "Li...Lichen... please ... stay...with me.." She said as she dragged him with all her might through the trees, not making very good time as it seemed to be taking absolutely forever. "I..know you can...hear me." She said once more a bit louder as they were far enough away from eveything. She paused to take a breath as she looked down to him. He was cold as can be, but something told Hanako he wasn't yet lost. She wondered if there were any more men around here to help her out, but everything seemed quiet... eeriely quiet. She didn't like it, so instead of waiting to see what would happen next she picked him up once more and started back to their safe place. Hoping they would reach it before dawn, but even that was looking grim.
Katsumi had closed her eyes from exhaustion but she nodded slowly, "I..I suppose you could put it that way. But don't go flaunting it around, we girls just need to stick together, got it?" She asked peeking open one of her eyes to look over at her. She sighed as the girl left her surrounded by the dead bodies, blood covered the ground making it look much as if the earth itself was bleeding. It was a sad day, and yet all she wanted to do now was rest her eyes. As she slipped into a comma like sleep she dreamed of everything that had happened, she wanted to know more. She wanted to know if this girl was really Ikovi and Salanim's sister, they both seemed content in just killing her. Ikovi not so much, but after a while anyways. Perhaps she would ask him later if she could bear moving that is.

"I can help you," Cherie said, sad to see the man in his condition. "I can help you heal folks. I'll help this guy right away!" She ran over to the soldiers side, she began to heal him immediately.
"My name is Cherie Mister," she spoke softly to him in her little girl voice, "I'm going ot help you. Your boss, Uncle Ikovi, is her to look out for you. Isn't that great! Better than being dead I suppose!" She giggled, she hate small talk.
"Will you be okay Uncle?" she asked suddenly.

Lichen stirred at Hanako's voice, first a little, barely notable as asign that he was still alive, but then he suddenly prang into activity, instinc driving his motions as he plunged his fangs into the nears neck. Lichen bit down with a ferocity he had only felt when he had been fighting Salanim a few moments before, and then he felt the supply dwimdleing and released her.
Lichen fell to the ground and dug his fingers into the ground "GRWAHHHHH!!! d**n SILVER!!!!" Shouted Lichen and he gripped his fingers around the soil of the ground, baring his teeth as the pain drove him to insanity.
"Very well the, Cherie" continued Ikovi, regaining his compsure as he rose to his feet, strideing fhurther across the feild of dead, checking more bodies as he went.
The soldier lay below Cherie, his eyes unfocused, but slowly his state of shock faded and he recalled what had been happening just a few miniutes before, a vampire had hit him, with some kind of metal stick, not a sword, but it had torn him to shreds, and then this. The battle must be over, the soldier took a deep brath and opened his mouth to speak.
"Is the commander still alright?" he asked, gazing into Cheries eyes with an unfaltering gaze...

Hanako paused as she noticed the slight motion in Lichen's body. "Lichen?" She questioned as she kneeled down with him closer to herself. "Lichen are you oka.. aaahh." She screamed as Lichen took hold of her and sunk his fangs into her neck. Making her feel dizzy for a moment before she closed her eyes... pleasure. Odd to think such a gross ac would cause one so much pleasure. She moaned a very faint moan before he pulled out and screamed in agony himself.
"Ahh Lichen!" She squeaked as she held him with one hand and held her neck with the other. However it wasn't long before it healed over enough to let it go and shake Lichen lightly. "Not good. I need to get you back so someone can remove that silver..." She said frantically, not sure whether or not to move him or leave him and run for help. "Lichen help me.. can you move?" She asked wondering if he would be paralyzed with the posion from the silver in his blood or if he would be able to move.

"Ah, you mean Uncle Ikovi? He's hurt, and sad that he lost alot of men, but he's fine otherwise. Daddy,Salanim, is out cold at the moment." Cherie completed her healing and propped the soldier up.
"Rest here, I'm gonna go look for other survivors." With that, Cherie was up and flying over to Ikovi, she clasped onto his shoulder and hung onto him. She barely weighed a thing.

Ikovi fanished checking all the survivors, and was dragging the last of the berely alive into the small circle he had set up to reat them in when he spotted Katsumi again, he looked around, everyone was either in extreme pain or dieing, but it looked like he had a few seconds to spare nonetheless...
Lichen gritted his teeth, he didn't want to move, if he moved he might lose his concentration and allow the poison to spread through the unwounded parts of his body, which weren't many to begin with "Just reach in and pull it out! Hanako PLEASE!" shouted lichen spitting a little blood out when he yelled.
"So one injury and you quit on me?" asked Ikovi as he knelt down in front of Katsumi, whom he suspected was asleep, or something close to it, but knowing her she wouldn't be for too much longer "You going to let yourself be outdone by a human just like me?" asked Ikovi remembering when Lichen had hit him....

Katsumi's chest rose and fell once more before she responded to Ikovi, it seemed he saw right through her, like always she was annoyed on the matter. She sighed and opened her eyes slowly, "Out done by a human you say? Least you've notice that was no human. You on the other hand seem to want to push me to my limits, which you have countless tims already. I may not be human myself by for one I am not stupid. That idiot could have killed me... h*ll he could have kill you! If that girl was really your sister you should have just let it be. you seemed all anxious to get over to her then that brainless idiot Salanim shot at her and myself might I add..."
She paused looking away from him. "So I'm wounded, why would someone like yourself care that much if I'd move over this hurdle in my life? I let a vampire outdo me.. and even yourself. I'm a shameful being, go 'head and say it. However your wrong about one thing. I'm not a quitter." With that she looked back at him locking eyes for a moment before she attempted to stand up. Not without the help of the wall behind her of course. "I may not look it but, I can be strong at times. I suppose meeting someone like yourself has taught me that. I clearly wasn't focused on the match and the whole thing probably started when I found the girl and brought her back her. I would have killed her on the spot, she didn't seem to want to fight back, but I suppose I wanted to come tell you beforhand." She shrugged, "So sue me."
Grasping at her chest she hobbled away from the wall and started to go around to the men. She herself was losing blood from her injuries but, even so she wished to help and prove herself to Ikovi, strange right?"

Hanako watched the injured Lichen in silence, all until he started to speak, she could hear the pain in his voice and the detemination. "Lich..Lichen... I donno if I can do that..." She said shivering at the though, "but I'll try. I'm not about to lose you. Hang in there." She whispered the rest to herself really as she kneeled down next to his side. Who was she kidding she had no idea how to do that... not to mention wouldn't the silver burn her if she touched it... pausing her thoughts she shook it off, not that; that would matter. "Okay, here I go." She mumbled as she scanned his body and found the spots where the bullets had entered, but she could see right then that this may be a lost case, there were so many, how would she ever accomplish this without killing him in the process?
She bit her lip and hurried on, taking a breath she reached for the first one, hating to hurt Lichen but, at a time like thsi she had no choice. Thankfully her small hands wouldn't leave much damage behind. "I'm sorry Lichen." She whispered as she reached into his chest and found one bullet, amased at how easy it had been, but she felt teh burn the instant she touched it and winced. However she didn't stop as she clasped onto it and pulled it out, tossing it to the side as her eyes flashed a dangerous red from the blood on her hand, would this be possible with her own hateful blood lust? She gritted her teeth and control herslef as she reached in for the next one, then the next.

Cherie leaped off of Ikovi and ran over to Katsumi, "Ms. Katsumi, it's best not to move!" She grabbed onto her hand, "Please, stay put. I have to heal the others in the circle over there. I can't go back and forth when you're injured and they're half-way dead." She lookd back at the fallen soldiers and then at Ikovi.
"You were strong in my eyes and did an awesome job out there. There's no way you could be a quitter." She grinned and tried to cheer things up. She blushed, was she even making sense right now?
"Umm, well, go on ahead then if you insist. I better start healing the others." With that, Cherie was gone in an instant, helping the walking dead and the severely injured.
