A New Chapter...

Radon took in all of the information, much as Tadashi did. Tadashi was running through the possibilities of Raidonwinning this "battle" through what he had heard so far, this Cloud figure was not one to be messing with. Definately not one to be able to be beaten too easily. He looked up towards his brother. Raidon was silently, thoughts swired through his mind, no backing down, fighting until one was knocked down, could he do all of that? Sure he was skilled with his sword, but that much so to take Cloud down? He cerainly wasn't someone to go down very easily. "Grandmother.." He paused to look up at Samuel, "Joseph is coming with the two then." He paused again, "Keeping you away from him won't be easy either, that'd mean locking you away and that would only show cowardice from myself. Unworthyness." He shook his head, "I won't do it, but I will do everything in my power to keep you here, you mean more to Harumi than most of us do." He said tilting his head to the side to think, but keeping that would mean a constant eye on him, as welll as proving himself to Cloud, fighting seemed to be the only way, even though he would be bold to get to Aria before she can tell a soul of the curse to anyone, especially Cloud, that would ruin everything, and he wasn't willing to give Harumi up after going so far in the first place. "Fine, I'll do it then.' he said with determination, showing everyone that he wasn't about to back down at this or any challenge that may occur in the future.

Lillie giggled as she watched the two, before Potatoe took over and messed Harumi p even more. She smiled, two good friends, she envied their awesome relationship. Glad to see that they were practically inseperable, less of course one wished to leave. Harumi was here because of Raidon perhaps, but yuffie seemed more than eager to come all this way for her friend. She paused at the cafe and dangled the cake picture infront of Harumi to keep her sane. "Come on now girls." She giggled as she held the door for the two but one of the boys from indoors came to holdit for her, recognizing her at once. "Queen Lilirara, allow me." He said bowing slightly as Lillie smiled, "Thanks hun." She said as she walked in.

Samuel glanced at Raidon as if he’d just lost his mind, despite the fact that he’s just told him to stop being so afraid of Cloud. “Right… you know… never mind. We’ll support you! Aria will keep Harumi occupied so she won’t see you both fighting and me and Tadashi will be there in case he almost… or does, kill you.” He said supportively. He smiled and turned away sickly. “My, this has become a great game with time. I wonder, if I tell Cloud about it before they fight he risks death, but if I don’t, he just risks losing his love even after the wedding, which is a lot for him… Samuel kun, you always find some way to make things more interesting. So glad you decided to become immortal, just wish you’d married me instead of that mortal… it would have saved so much sadness.” Aria said rather loudly, Samuel blinked, realizing they could hear her.
Harumi held on to Yuffie’s shoulder to keep on her feet. She felt strange, unable to tell the difference between what was in front or behind her. “Aww, people here are nice. Maybe I should move and find a nice guy like Raidon who has a cool mom… nah, I’d have to give up being a ninja and seriously, could you see me in a dress? A white dress?? Well…?” she asked, turning to look at Harumi and Lillie, only to bump into a table. Potatoe shook his head, slightly amused at the thought. “Ha, ha, that would be funny.” Harumi said, holding on to Lillie before noticing the cake. “Oh, that’s a pretty cake Lillie… but why is it so swirl looking?” she asked, walking in a strange wavy line. Yuffie glanced at her and smiled. “Ladies and gentlemen, Harumi when she’s drunk…” she said cheerfully. Harumi took a playful bow and Yuffie helped her up when she fell down. “Great job, let’s sit here.” She laughed, motioning Lillie to follow.

(Sorry if my typing is so off, my mom had to disconnect my comp due to cleaning reasons, and has yet to reconnect it, so i'm on her laptop, and still not usedto the delicate keys. ^^)

Raidon and Tadashi both found themselves staring at Samuel at the sound of the new voice that seemed to come out of nowhere. Raidon was more concerned on the fighting to the kill bit. But he sighed and looked away, he wouldn't let it get to him. Even if Harumi was absent so not to see the two fighting it seemed he may have more of a problem. Shall he kill Cloud Harumi would resent him, and on the opposite side, shall Cloud kill him Harumi would hate him too. Not so much as a win, less he went down on the brink of death then pulled back.. but would Cloud do that? It would sure make Raidon look like a fool. He frowned then tossed it from his mind. He'd worry on the matter when it arrived. Tadashi was still staring at Samule before looking around, "Who was that?" he asked curious to know where the new voice came from.

Lillie smiled as they helped Harumi to a table with the waitor looking on not only confused but a it concerned. "Your always welcome Yuffie, i'm sure when Harumi is finally all moved in she would love the company of yours. As for the same sort as Raidon, you'd be lucky to find one, I was almost loosing hope that he would ever find a girl to whip him into shape. He was such a playboy beforehand. But when Harumi showed up it seems everything changed for him." She smiled thoughtfully as Harumi slipped to the ground in a somewhat drunken stupor. Lillie sighed but as the waitor looked to her with concern she smiled, "No worries hun, just get me some water and she'll be right as rain again." He nodded still looking concerned and hurried off. Lillie joined the two in the booth and helped upright Harumi, "So she's been this way before?" She asked looking a bit concerned herself now.

“No one.” Samuel said quickly. “Well shoot, I know you both but suddenly I’m just no one right Samuel?” she asked. Samuel smiled delicately and sighed as she appeared. “Oh come on now, you remember me don’t you Raidon?” the young woman asked. She smiled and shrugged. “Maybe he’d recognize my old woman voice…” she said deeply. Samuel smiled and brushed her aside. “This is Harumi’s… grandmother. But she doesn’t exactly know that she’s coming so keep it a surprise…” he said. “But never mind the surprises, you know how I love to gamble, what makes you all so sure I won’t tell Cloud what’s going on right this minute?” she asked boldly tying her blue hair in a bun and crossing her arms.
Yuffie glanced at Harumi who nodded, allowing her to tell. “No, she hasn’t really lately… but Cloud allows it so it’s not like she’s never done it before… Don’t worry though, she’s just dizzy. That and she only drinks when she’s really upset… you’ll never see her when she does but man is it funny.” She said quietly. Harumi smiled a bit sadly, “Don’t worry, I haven’t in about a year or two…” she said.

Raidon's mouth dropped open, "Yo...your.." He blinked a few times. "harumi's grandmother.. it's been far too long. Heh.." he laughed nervously, remembering her from that long while ago, "Yeah, we were just talking about you last night, when Harumi brought up that time.." he paused but smiled, "Sorry, yeah I do remember you and I promise you here and now that I will do anything to keep you from telling Cloud." he frowned, "I won't go back on my word this far in the game. I love Harumi with all my heart, I want to prove that and the matter of keeping her safe fr ever." He looked her over, she looked different, he remembered looking up at her before, now they were just about even, Raidon being a bit taller of course. "So, what will it take to prove my loyalty to you?" he asked sort of hinting of asking the matter so he could win her over here and now.

Lillie smiled as the boy came back with the water and she thanked him. He ran off to help elsewhere to allow them to decide on what they would like to order. Lillie took a hold of the water and handed it over to Harumi, "I know this may be all so much to take in, I know it was for me. Aside from the matter I was all to willing to help inany way I possibly could." She smiled, "i do think we can get back that fun side of Harumi, very shortly if at all possible." She grinned winking at Yuffie before she brought up the menu to look it over. "Order what you'd like girls, it's my treat." She said with a smile.

Aria loved the extra attention. “Well you could have met me first instead of messing around with Licht. All you had to do was go up in front of the dragon council, just once… might have saved a lot of problems but still…” she thought for a moment, pacing the room dramatically as Samuel watched her slightly annoyed. “She’s not going to tell. You can just ignore her.” He mumbled. Aria stopped short. “So prove it. Instead of fighting Cloud in a battle you’ll lose, why not face off against Joseph instead?” She asked turning Samuel into a real stuffed animal so he couldn’t object. “That way we can all watch. It’ll be like fighting over Harumi which you didn’t have the chance to do before. T same rules apply except you can defiantly use your powers. Besides, it’s impossible for Joseph to kill you. All in all it’s time for him to let her go and I bet you wouldn’t mind the extra stress relief… and not only that, but no matter what happens you get to keep our little princess. Only… you risk that silly temper of yours. If you haven’t heard already Joseph is very tiring…”
Yuffie fell silent, almost cautiously. “So then you’re letting us drink…?” she asked, almost at a whisper. She didn’t give Lillie anytime to answer. “We’ll have three bottles of sake until we figure out what we want to eat.” She said a bit more calm than Harumi expected her to be. “Two, I’m good with water.” She mumbled. Yuffie glanced at her with pleading eyes. “Aww, come on Harumi, you’re not being fun.” She whined. Harumi turned away. “Fine, only if Lillie allows it and you make sure I stay sober… I still have to talk to Raidon remember?” she asked. “Well fine, we can always save you some. Three bottles is too much for three people anyway.” Yuffie said haughtily.

Raidon watched as Aria started to somewhat pace the room, before turning to face him and telling him to prove it. "But fighting Joseph, how is that going to help me gain Cloud's trust?" He asked wondering why it was any different from fighting Cloud, on the contrary he would have a better chance to win, even though he didn't have any magic up his sleeves, aside from his wings anyways, which were more of an everyday sort of thing. He shrugged the matter off as he nodded, his temper would get annoying, much like that first time he met him. Raidon sighed, "I won't back down then, that seems to be the best alternative, but do you really want Harumi watching us fight? I mean... well." He sighed, supposeing it didn't matter that much in the end, so long as he didn't lose her or his temper.. aka allowing the curse to take over, until he had the chance to rid of it anyways. He paused, "So why is it impossible for him to kill me?" He asked looking up just as Samuel was turned into a stuffed bear again. Was he missing something?

Lillie placed down her menu with a small grin, "I'll allow it, but Harumi's right. We'll save you a bottle for after your talk with Raidon." She smiled, before looking back to the menu as the sake arrived with two wine glasses and another glass full of water for Harumi. "Are we ready to order then?" The waitor asked smiling at the three. Lillie looked to them, "I am, are you two all set?" She asked before she ordered what she wanted.

Aria smiled. “Cloud just wants to make sure you love her… he wants to be sure you won’t be violent with her so he never has to get that phone call in the middle of the night that you’ve done something terrible to her… and can you blame him? You’re not very stable.” She said softly. She picked Samuel up and smiled, patting him on the head. “You know, Joseph wasn’t exactly stable either when he was young. I needed to make sure he couldn’t hurt her either. Especially after what he was trying to do to her before.” She shook her head and smiled a bit feeling Samuel’s energy rise and fall. “Oh my, if I’d known she was going to tell you I wouldn’t have said anything… why don’t you ask her tonight? Trust me, after today you’ll either be more in love with her or ready to run in disgust.” She said putting Samuel in a chair. “Anyway we have a deal right? Good. I’ll make sure Cloud never finds out about that silly secret of yours. Just make sure to get rid of it. I’d hate to have to curse you like I did to Joseph.” Aria disappeared and Samuel took a sudden breath. “I…” Samuel looked around furiously and sighed. “Don’t listen to her! You can’t fight Joseph.” He said angrily. He paused to think about it and took it back. “Well, maybe you can…”
“Yup, I want a bento box…” Yuffie said plainly. Harumi glanced at her and agreed. “Yeah, me too…” she said glancing at the bottles. Yuffie smiled slyly, but Harumi ignored her. “You know you want some!” she said softly. Harumi felt as if she was losing the battle against it before drinking her water. “Nope.” She said quietly. "Come on Lillie, drink with me and Bear tonight then okay? It's no fun to have sober people around." she said.

Raidon nodded, most would, he assumed his mother would feel the same way about Tadashi, considering he himself was a big lug and was always causing mischief. "Sheese, no wonder he hated me before." He said and hung his head, "Just appearing out of nowhere and tripping Harumi, getting her to fall for me like I did for her." He shoook his head and found he was talking to no one inparticular considering Aria was gone once again, but he knew what he had to do now. He looked to Samuel who seemed to be seething with anger, but then took it all back, "Could I fight Joseph? I mean it's not like I have to kill him or anything, just prove myself to Cloud." He paused, what was fighting going to prove? Wasn't the whole matter to prove that he won't hurt Harumi? Not that he would, but he was extremly unstable as he was now. Everything would become much better once this whole curse was done away with. He would be much safer not having ro worry about it anymore, and the matter of possibly losing Harumi because of a stupid mess up, he had to watch himself a bit closer, his moves or whatnot. Keeping himself calm in the worst of situations, he could do this, he had faith in himself.

Lillie grinned at the two and shrugged lightly as the waitor left with their order. "I can keep my drinks down and cope with them a lot longer than most my dear. I can take a bit now and a bit later." She said winking at Harumi, "I'll just have to steer clear of Ryou... hee he. He hates it when I drink." She closed her eyes with a smile before looking back to her glass that was now filled with sake and grasped it. She looked over to Yuffie and lifted her glass towards her, "Shall we then?" She asked simply.

Samuel thought about it for a while as he listened to Aria laugh and tease him. “Well, I doubt Aria’s even going to let him remember what happened. So far, this is all for her amusement… I just wish I knew what she was planning. All in all, you’ll be fine. Aria’s the only dragon I’ve known to keep her word. She loves Harumi a lot so, I doubt if she’ll let anything happen to you out there.” He said. Samuel sat down in the chair and waited a while. “So, you’re in for a pretty interesting fight… that means you’ll need training. Or, we can cheat and I can just tell you all of Joseph’s weaknesses.” Samuel snickered to himself as Aria tried to reappear. He wouldn’t allow it this time. “You’re okay with cheating right? Just in case of emergency of course…”
Harumi smiled a bit and nodded. “Lucky you, we’re both the complete opposite.” She said. Yuffie stuck her tongue at her and scoffed. “That’s not true. You just go out before I do. Then looking at me you probably assume that I’m drunk too but I’m not!” she said. Harumi laughed. “You do too!” she said. Yuffie smiled and poured her a glass. “Oh yeah? Let’s see!” she said. Harumi fell silent and went to her mother in law for help. “Lillie, make her stop. I’m not suppose to drink, it’s so bad.” She whined. Yuffie sighed, so close to her goal and still missing it. “Alright, I’ll stop.” She said, toasting to Lillie.

Raidon looked him over, "You think so? I mean any good grandmother would love their granddaughter to pieces. And for anything to affect that matter of their love toiwards them well.." He paused sighing before Samuel suggested to tell him Joseph's weaknesses beforehand. He frowned, "I highly doubt that's fair Samuel." Though it was tempting to want to know what they may be. But he wasn't about to upset Harumi because he cheated to win. He shook his head, "I coulden't." He said finally.

Lillie giggled, "You know if I didn't know better i'd say you two were sisters." She smiled, "You sure act like it, but I won't allow her to drink less she wishes to. We'll have another bottle for tonight anyways, then you can get her good and drunk and Ryou and Raidon can hate us both." She grinned at Yuffie as she toasted to her, "Sound like a plan then? You need to live it up before you die." She clinked glasses with Yuffie and gulped down some of the sake.

Samuel shrugged. “At least you’ll be off the hook. Everything should end well and that means there’s no more stress… well, almost none. You’ll be stressed at the party, but after that everything will be fine!” he said thoughtfully turning to Tadashi. “And speaking of the party, you might want to inform Harumi about it too. In case she’s going to have one. Knowing some of her friends though, it’ll be a less innocent than yours will be.” He said a bit upset, but brushing it aside as he really didn’t know what was going to happen.
Yuffie finished cheerfully as Harumi watched her. She turned to Lillie and cheered. "Yup, live it up as much as possible... we do act like sisters huh? You should have seen us the first time we stole Cloud's bike. it was so cool! We crashed it... but Cloud taught her to drive so it was all okay." she laughed. "It was the first time Harumi had ever been a rebel." Harumi shook her head. "Right, so after this we're going where? I mean everything else has been picked out right?" she asked.

Raidon sighed, "I suppose so.. but the stress will never end." He shrugged it off and turned towards the window before standing and walking over to it to look out. Tadashi looked up to meet Samuel's gaze and nodded, "Yeah, she may want to know abnout the party, though it's tradition and all, perhaps I will find out what they have planned, I assume mom's behind it all of anything. Who knows what she has planned if thats the case." He said with a small grin before looking over at Raidon wondering if something was up, but he stayed quiet.

Lillie giggled at the two after taking another gulp of the sake. She toasted to them both as their food was arriving, nodding to the waitor as he smiled and left when they had everything they needed. She looked towards Harumi and nodded, "Yeah, back to the castle, less of course you two had somewhere else in mind that is?" She asked before digging in.

Samuel smiled thinking about the whole thing and sighed. "Never ending stress is just another part of life. I mean, you'd be pretty bored without it after long, don't you think?" he asked, glancing over to raidon. He frowned a bit and shrugged turning to Tadashi. "Wouldn't it be funny if she came out in a red dress?" he asked thoughtfully. He smiled, even though he'd probably be the one most upset. "A red dress and black makeup. Can you even imagine her wearing that in general. I'd probably have a heart attack... but I doubt that's the kind of crazy idea you're mom might have." he chuckled lightly though he started to grow suspicious. "If you want. I'll spy with you." he said.
"Nope, it's getting dark anyway... and I'm not too fond of travelling even short distances at night..." she said cheerfully. She started to eat, and Yuffie did the same after they thanked the waiter. "You know, this is kind of cool... I'm glad you kidnapped us today." Yuffie said, glancing over to Lillie. "It's also a good thing you look somewhat like Raidon though. Otherwise there's no way off earth I would have come along."

Raidon nodded slowly and turned to look back at Samuel and Tadashi, "I suppose so, but I could still do without it more times then not." He said gruffly as he leaned against the sill and sighed lightly. Tadashi grinned, "I don't think she would be that crazy, if it came up to that matter I think Harumi would back down. She's not that insane.. least I don't tthink she is. Raidon would know more of the matter." He said grinning at his brother who seemed to be in shock, trying to picture Harumi in that red dress. "I will say one thing, if she ever was to wear something of that matter, I don't think even I could control myself." He shivered slightly, wanting completly to see that matter. He shook it off when he felt eyes on him and he snapped out of it, looking slightly embarassed.

Lillie nodded, "I don't blaim you Harumi. I used to be afraid of the dark, but once I got to know the truth behind it all I stopped being so scared. I was a little girl back then anyways, everything seems so much bigger and scarier when the whole world is older than you." She smiled as she took another few bites, "We can return home after, and Yuffie your welcome to stay as long as you'd like. Even for the rest of your life if you wish." She nodded slowly, though she also knew that, that was unlikely.
